Just hope the young players improve and know there will be better days ahead with some new leadership.

Alleva is in BR attending the baseball games. Saw him talking to PM.

Johnny's team has just one more SEC win than I would have if I had played by myself in place of his team.

Johnny has to know he's killing his university, the school he loves. He neeeds to be a man and step away NOW. if he's a man of his word he should just do what's best for the program and DO IT NOW

Sad to say, but he probably assumes he's protected, and will be back next year.

Maybe I am one of the few who feels this way, but Alleva has probably decided Johnny is gone after this season.
Even Joe should realize this, but he has managed to conceal this pretty well.

I understand your frustration. As someone who grew up going to games with my dad and brother in the 90s, this is truly sad to watch.
It's to the point where many have forgotten that we have a good basketball history/tradition at this school.
That being said, firing him now does nothing. Season is coming to an end and all it will do is cost money. I know on the athletic side of things, LSU has it, but business wise, firing him now would be a dumb move.
I want him to be gone years ago already. But I also understand why they aren't doing it. You have to also remember the Miles situation. If Alleva fires 2 coaches during their seasons, future coaching candidates will see that and question it.
He already looked horrible how he handled firing Miles, and subsequently the hiring process that ended up with us getting O.
Anyways, after typing that out, I'm reminded how fricking stupid Alleva is. How have we allowed this dumbass to do this to our beloved university? He's embarrassed us time after time, and sadly, it seems as if the powers that be are ok with this. How the hell is Alleva still around? Dammit, that pisses me off.

Relax. Coach jones needs a few more years to install his system. He inherited a bad situation from Trent Johnson.

I find it almost surreal that JJ is still on the court. The Tigers just get worse each game.
I can't believe all those nitwits who were praising Jones and the Tigers after the Kentucky game. This team is frighteningly bad

No, and that's the problem...bringing in a cheap retread may look good to the Accountants, but it won't solve any of the problems, talent or attendance wise.

Never should have been hired. LSU NEVER had a chance to compete under him. Been off LSU BB ever since his hire. Worst NCAA coach in the nation!

They did play a pretty good game against Kentucky and shot very well. But nobody thought JJ was turning anything around. No reason to shite on them when they play decent because that hasn't happened much this year. The product is awful and that's not changing.

Sorry I'll continue to support coach jones.

I'd say we should fire him now and get a head start searching for a new coach. But Alleva doesn't know how to do his job, so it would be a waste of an opportunity.

I mean baws really. Johnny and myself are both alums. If he really loves LSU like myself and the rest of you guys he needs to see he is embarrassing himself as well as our once prioud hoops program and step down. I'm so fricking disgusted I wanna kick ole Duke (my dog) and I love Duke. I know it's not his fault yet Johnny is just, frick I've got nothing. He's set us back so far it's really not funny anymore and that's my point.
Man, please don't kick Duke!!! Lol. I feel your pain though.

Jones needs to go but I just see him being fired before the season is over. Even if one of the assistants took over on an interim basis this team won't improve the rest of the season.
