James Dolan using "slave like mentality" on Charles Oakley (ESPN)

ESPN article. I dont agree with James Dolan on how he is handling this, but frick ESPN for going in this direction. Slave owners forced people to stay around. Dolan wants him not around. How the frick does this compare to "slave like mentality."
ESPN sucks now

Their crazy arse comparison is made because they think Oakley earning millions of dollars playing for a franchise while sacrificing his body = slave labor.
You really can't make this shite up

Oakley, IMHO, is an egomaniac and a jackass! There, I said it!

You didn't know slave owners used to pay their slaves millions of dollars. Pick up a book, man.

To be fair to ESPN, that's just Draymond Green's outrageous opinion. They are just reporting it.

I can't believe they would even give him a forum for that nonsense.

The most frustrating part about these kinds of comments isn't that some idiot like Draymond says it...
It's that the media analyzes and debates it like it's a legitimate point and you have a bunch of people coming out of the woodwork to echo his comments.
It's like everyone is fricking retarded these days.

If making millions of dollars to play basketball is slavery, then what the hell are the rest of us doing?

Their crazy arse comparison
I dislike ESPN as much as the next guy, but how is this ESPN's fault? You should take issue with Draymond Green:
quote:
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said New York Knicks owner James Dolan operates with a "slave master mentality" by taking issue with Charles Oakley's criticisms after the organization benefited from his contributions as a player.
"You doing it for me, it's all good," Green said on his "Dray Day" podcast on Uninterrupted. "You doing it against me -- you speaking out against my organization -- it's not good anymore? That's a slave mentality. A slave master mentality. That's ridiculous.
"It was all fine and dandy when he was laying people out, taking fines and all this stuff for your organization. But now, all of a sudden, when he says something that he feels, it's a problem."
ETA: ESPN is no more at fault for this than the OP is for brining the article here.

The fact that they reported this is kind of making it their fault

once he becomes a racist doesn't he have to sell the team ?

ESPN had nothing to do with it... you need to change your slanderous title and read the article.

ESPN reported this trash. They have something to do with it.
It's fits their narrative, just like their entire "undefeated section"

Edit: ESPN had everything to do with this you cheeky C-word.
Edit round 2: Obviously an ESPN analyst/writer isnt going to personally report some personal bullshite story like this, but the fact that this is on the front page of their website is why I'm fed up.
