MSM and the Left claiming there are no paid protestors

I am noticing a big push to discredit Sean Spicer this morning with his comments about paid protesters. Within the last year we have discussed numerous times on this board about evidence about these protesters being paid. I think it's pretty obvious they (not all protesters but the a significant portion) are being funded. So I'm searching around to try to find some solid sources to support these claims but it's like all of a sudden there is nothing to be found.
Does anyone know of any credible sources to back up this claim of paid protesters?

It was craigslist adds. They traced the number given back to an organization tied directly to Soros.

I hope that this Administration can determine some facts about these protests and review whether all of their operations are legal.

I think it is highly plausible that the organizers/leaders of the protests are funded by certain interest groups, but the protesters themselves? That seems unlikely.
The protesters are just being manipulated by emotional appeals. It is pretty easy to do.

I think 80% of the protestors right now are just bored high school kids. We used to drive to the river and drink beer but times have changed I suppose

The hippies of the 60s have been the only true protesters in my lifetime. As much as I loathed them back them I now appreciate their effort as opposed to these pretenders nowadays.

I know a few people who have protested, not rioted, and they aren't hurting for money. Professional types who really do just believe in what they're protesting for.
