What can I expect on a tile labor quote?

Looking to have "wood plank" tile installed into a finished basement that is roughly 1000 square feet. Basement is currently carpeted. What is a reasonable price for labor? Can tile be installed directly on concrete or will it need backer board or moisture barrier?
What should I budget per square foot for material and labor?

It's not like I'm sitting here laughing at my response, a-hole. Lighten up a bit, it's ritual for us old timers.

I think it was about the same price as the materials.

That shite looks great. I am guessing though, that since really long tiles are used, extra care will be needed to make sure the floor is perfectly level everywhere, otherwise, you will get cracks. How much that costs I have no clue.
I would also like that in my basement, right now it has the concrete floors with the pottery pieces in it.I forget what that's called.

Where's the guy whose daughter is marrying a tile layer?

You can go right in the slab but it needs to be flat. If not you'll need patch and or leveler. It depends on where you live but in NOLA market if you got someone good that has insurance you will pay $3.50/ft for the install. Backer board is needed when the surface isn't appropriate for bonding to thinset. Make sure they use large format thinset. Do yourself a favor and use stainproof grout like fusion or TEC power grout.

You can tile directly to concrete. However, you should consider installing "GreenSkin" isolation membrane.

Damn downvoter..I know it's old fashioned stuff, but other than that, what you got against the concrete with little pottery pieces in it?

I am going to guess information and pricing for an install of a tile floor.

I actually used "fracture guard" and ECB roll membrane on my house I just tiled. $6 sq ft for porcelain tile + installation...There was no way I wasn't going to install a crack membrane.
