Little Sister
I have always enjoyed his music. He is one of my favorite country artists from the 90s.
What say you?

Took me a while to come around but I really like his music now. My 9 yr-old thinks "Waterfall" is one of the top songs ever made.

For me, maybe the premier torchbearer of the great, diverse late 80's-90's in Nashville. Not that he hasn't done quality work since - but that Bakersfield-colored stuff with Anderson was the shite.

He's fairy dust...... in the best possible sense.

Not only a huge influence on how I write, but a huge influence on what I started listening to.
He caused me to get into bluegrass,Lefty Frizell,Buck Owens and a lot of other things that I probably wouldn't have listened to otherwise.
Also, the way he treats covers..absolutely genius.
I don't know how anybody could achieve more than what he has,and I don't think he has ever sacrificed his musical integrity, just evolved.

He's awesome, and I've always liked him dating back to my high school years. Got away form him for a while, then got introduced to the acoustic.net disc post-college, and that moved him into my forever rotation.
If you haven't checked out that acoustic.net album, do so.

While the quality of his material is not limited solely to this album, this is my personal favorite. A great, great album and representative of some of his finest work.
