Christian's Tailgate in the Heights is a good spot with a nice deck

I would suggest you watch it AND stay for free at Owlfan86's 'house'.
Bad news is you will likely get roofied and raped.
Sounds like a party

I live in the same area and will probably be going to Kirby Ice House if the weather is nice. Wherever you go, get there early.

I've heard good things.

It's worth it to me as a bucket list item. Attending the biggest sporting event in the world with no flight, hotel, or parking costs and basically in your backyard is hard to pass up. That along with having a large amount of disposable income.
I can see it appearing like a lot of money tho to those who have no interests.

We'll probably go somewhere and stay all day. I know the barstool guys are set up at kirby ice house all week. Not sure about sat/sun though.

A lot of butt-hurt people in this place today. I apologize for having an opinion. I forgot that if it isn't the same as everyone else's I must be an a-hole. I hope ole Timmy Brady fricks your team...then finds your GF and fricks her too.
I mean, you're a douche bag. People generally aren't too warm and friendly to people like you.

3k is in that range of being a significant amount of money to some people but affordable to many others. I've never been to a SB in my entire life but could see a potential scenario of wanting to spend 3k for a ticket (i.e. if my team were playing in a good location). I still remember my dad questioning whether he should pay 1k for two tickets to the LSU/OU game in Jan 2004. He did and it was one of the best memories of my life.
It's really all relative, some people question how much others pay for cars, houses, etc. Some choose to not have kids so that they can have much more disposable income. The only thing I might feel bad about is if I spent that kind of cash and my team lost.

I didn't realize you knew me enough to make assumptions like that. If you base your judgment of me off of a logical statement made in my first post, it says more about you than it does about me. Have fun being miserable in life though. Maybe someone will hold your hand and coddle you the rest of the way, that way you don't have to be exposed to someone disagreeing with you.

You may already know about this, but here's all the stuff happening at Discovery Green, which is why people were suggesting places close to that:
Super Bowl Live
and
other stuff

was wondering where the best places to watch the game will be
My recliner for me, the beers are cheap, i get instant replay and don't have to frick with a bunch of idiots.
I hate crowds, traffic, over priced beers and a bunch of other shite

Nothing about your statement was logical. You didn't bother to see that I was living in Dallas and thus this trip wasn't a huge deal for me to make.
So instead of giving recommendations, you decided your time was better spent chastising me for wanting to experience the super bowl weekend while my team was participating. So yes, I'm going to glean from that that you are in fact, a douche bag. And the rest of your posts don't exactly help your cause.

I think this is going to be our plan on Saturday. Hang out there most of the time and then on Sunday settle in at a patio bar or a brewery until gametime.

Looks like the NFL live (Discovery Green) goes until midnight on Sunday so I'm sure they'll have giant screens for the game. I will say beers are $9.00 tho so a bar may be your better option. Stay at least one night for the fireworks tho. They've been doing them every night as a closing. Watched them Saturday night and it was by far the most impressive firework show I've ever seen and I'm not even a fan of them.
Also, shake the haters off. This is a huge event to be a part of. Bigger than I ever imagined and no expense got overlooked. It is truly amazing to see and be a part of.

Yet you're the one still getting riled up over it. My first post was legitimate... the rest were to see how far you'd swallow that hook. It should be tugging on your small intestine right about now.
