These fricking idiots. I swear to God I've never seen a more idiotic collaboration of fricktards anywhere on earth. NO NO NO NO NO fricking Army recruiter would ever say something so stupid. I was in the Army, I know Army people. Some are stupid but this is an epic level of stupid. It didn't happen.

If their recruitment numbers are so low, I would chalk it up to no one wanting to serve under Obama. Now that Trump is President, I bet they'll go up.
For example, my cousin is up for re-enlistment in a couple of years. He had said before the election that if Hillary won, he was out. Now that Trump is in, he is staying in.

That is a completely false statement. The last time a service failed to make its yearly mission was Fiscal Year 2005.
When I was in recruiting (2007-2009) the Army in particular was in its highest demand, with a yearly mission of around 85,000 each Fiscal Year. By 2013, the annual numbers reduced to 65,000, then 55,000 in order to make the reduction requirement across DA.
MY source is far more reliable than this idiot: The Command Sergeant Major of the New York City Battalion...who was my First Sergeant when I was a Company Commander.

Im a left leaner and I say every high school graduate in the United States should have to serve 1 year in the military and 1 year in the reserves. No if ands or buts.

the absolute last thing any of the services want is a draft...
that being said, I'd love to find a good way to spread the burden of service...
put the screws on the Ivy League, you want federal money, you have to admit a quota of veterans, as well as universities across the spectrum...

That's a terrible idea in terms of the force itself.
Training alone is specialized to the point that your first 6 months to a year (or longer) is just in job training before you reach your first unit.
Add on top of that the requirement to attend transition classes and workshops 18 months before your end date and they'd never serve an actual day in a unit.
Needs to be a minimum of a 4-year term to have any meaningful effect.

Numbers are way too big for that and it would cost a fortune. We also don't have anywhere near the facilities or instructors to train them.
Career military folks don't want these punks around. I served 20 years on active duty and had more than enough to do than babysit a bunch of leftist scumbags.
If you hate your country, have no fear of jail time and no fear of going home a failure you have no reason to listen to a military instructor to begin with.
Would do nothing but cause massive problems.
