The left is a Virtue Signaling Cult but no much more. They are dependent on mommy government stealing more of your money in order to advance their agenda and give that money to folks they don't really care about.
If they really cared, they'd do it themselves with their resources. Most of them just want you to agree with them and pay for their pet projects when in reality they could fund whatever pet projects they wanted without burdening other folks with their aggrievement of the day.
