He hasn't made any big splashes yet. Racey was considered a huge LSU lean from the get go. So what do you want me to conclude?

The fact that we didn't offer him until the 11th hour is flat out baffling to me. Don't understand putting all the eggs in the Cam Akers basket

It's really frustrating.. why do all the trashy fans wait until close to NSD to come to this board?

I don't get all this "end of the world" shite if TE goes to Clemson. We'll be fine at running back next year and then we can sign a few in 2018. Sure it would be great if he picked LSU, but it isn't worth having a meltdown over if he doesn't.

[quote] I honestly have no idea how Juluke can keep a job going forward with his recruiting so far. Maybe one more year to see but I haven't been overly impressed so far.[/quote

Hopefully he won't be on staff after signing day. I agree, he's been a severe disappointment

So if Juluke is a total failure at recruiting, then how did he convince McMath to commit to LSU, by accident?

The knock on Juluke is that he has the fewest skins on the wall this cycle. The RB coach has got to be a better recruiter than that.

Williams and Guice are gone next year. Brossette will have to be the man, but he did already experience one major knee injury. Clyde will get a ton of playing time in 2018. You never want to only have 2 RBs. That is the case right now going into 2018 unless we get a real stud next February who is ready to come in and play RB in the SEC immediately.

Not panic time, but there is no way to not see depth at RB as a concern all of a sudden.

He's an 18 year old kid who has options. If he doesn't pick LSU, it's not the end of the world. We will find a RB, I promise. There is no need to bash an 18 year old kid who doesn't choose YOUR favorite college team. If he chooses Clemson and football doesn't work out, it will not be the end of the world for that kid either just because he didn't stay in state.

Maybe we can switch a safety or corner over to RB. We have a ton of speed there. It is sad that RBU has no backs but Akers screwed us over.

Juluke has only been a member of the coaching staff since only February, and Juluke is McMath's former coach, and your assumption that McMath was a big LSU lean is also incorrect. Juluke had to stay on him for months to get him.

The dude is 6'3" and 215 lbs, and has been lazer timed at 4.3 in the 40. He had like 28 touchdowns and over a 1,000 yards receiving last season. The guy is really a high 4 or 5 star, and yes he didn't attend many camps for some reason.

You seem more like a leftwing flake to me who compulsively morally equates everything and anything because he/she/it can't help it due to your brainwashing and inculcation.

Juluke's specialty is Louisiana. There werent any elite backs in Louisiana this year. He went all in on Akers and lost because of coaching uncertainty. This is hardly on Juluke.

It's not the end of the world, but it does make RB recruiting a huge priority next season, and we will have to go out of state for the majority of it. Franklin isn't far away, but it is hard to get kids out of MS for some crazy reason.

We could really use Brosette and Ducre emerging as legit guys behind Guice this year. And we obviously need CEH to pan out. If they all do, we are good to set up guys in the 18 class to take over. If not, we will be very, very thin.

Guice having a monster season in Canada's first year would be huge for recruiting the next guy. It would get the attention of all the highly rated national RB recruits.
