Nah. Anyone who "can't figure out" why someone might prefer to drive a truck is a definitely a pussy.
But the opposite is true as well... anyone that can't figure out why someone would drive a nice car in an urban environment that has zero need for a truck, is equally as ignorant

I'm not talking to the few people who use a truck as intended so calm down. I'm mainly talking to the demographic who gets an expensive fully loaded truck that is then afraid to wear muddy shoes in it and get a scratch on it. Or the people who spend thousands to lift it so then you sacrifice comfort, ease of use, visibility, even more mpg and so on

From a cost standpoint, most Americans eat too much and live in too big of houses. So?
Logic doesn't really work for most people when it comes to car or home buying in the States.

You are starting to sound jealous of what people spend their money own.
Take a word of advice youngster. Life is too short and there is way too many diseases you need to be trying your best to catch to be worrying about stupid shite like this.
Chalk this thread up as stupid shite and forget about it. Ok buddy

Regardless of how they use their truck, maybe they just like the way they look. Similar to how you like the way a camaro looks.

I don't recall any truck owners starting threads because they have car envy.
btw, my last 3 daily drivers have been Yukons but I do have a Sierra I use when I need a truck.

Was just making a comment regarding some people that I know irl and some of the comments in this thread.....
There really are guys in the south that frown on people that drive cars. Odd bunch just like this PM kid here

I don't look down on those who use them. I actually respect that.

Admit this was a stupid thread and move on..
You'll have better posting days, just have to put this one behind you.

Maybe because that is what they want?
Honestly modern trucks are the most practical vehicle you can own unless you live a apartment building in a major city.

Drove two trucks over 20 years. Got a minivan and I've been happy with the change (wife drives it and I took the car for commuting). It was fun in HS and college. I should not have bought another one though, it was the image that I was trying to convince myself I needed. I didn't use it as much as I needed, no need to tow or haul anything on a regular basis.

I made the thread to hear WHY. So do you care to explain?

What "blaring negatives " are there?
They're typically very plush and comfortable transportation units. Gone are the days of vinyl bench seats, rubber floors and noisy interiors.
A GMC Denali Sierra is just as plush as a Buick.

A vehicle that weighs more has a harsher ride 95% of the time. It also applies to handling too. Couple that with all the weight is in the front and the wieght is higher up than a car. And of course a 5.0L V8 with ~400 hp can leave a civic. The camaro has its trade offs like a truck does but in return I get a really fast car that is actually comfortable with magnetic ride control. The point is that no one who uses a truck uses it for its benefits ( towing, carrying something a car couldn't)
just the opposite on weight. a heavier vehicle rides smoother. don't believe me, go on a bumpy road in your civic. then put 2 sacks on concrete in your truck and do it again. Guarantee it's smoother with the extra weight.
i've driven many camaros. will take my trucks ride comfort and handling over it any day. I also get better fuel mileage than Camaros.
and i have a big enough back seat to carry half a baseball team with me.
and if your camaro and my truck slam into each other, i'm getting the better end of the deal.
also your camaro will cost more than my truck. it can't pull my boat either.
so that Camaro is even more impractical of a vehicle than the ones you're mocking.

One of these won't go in the trunk of a Hyundai, Skippy.

bh calling someone that doesn't care or need to drive a truck a 'girly man'
Touche'. Let me be more clear. There are many manly guys who don't need a truck. I was referring strictly to his quote of no one really needing a truck for its benifits or something like that. He's got a good troll going, that's for sure
I'll admit not many people actually need 4x4 much less 35s and a lift kit but not all fast cars need a tune, headers and superchargers...this thread is ridiculous

I liked my truck but in a city like Houston it's impractical, I'd rather have a car or small SUV and have an older truck for when I need it. I just got a Jeep GC overland and it suits all my needs right now.
Having a truck is practical, have a 3/4 ton with a diesel to drive around town probably isn't
