So as long as you're a degenerate, which I meet the definition as well, that's fine. It's just if you're a holier-than-thou twat who judges everyone for any minute thing, then frick you! You're a hypocrite for voting for Trump. You can't ever look down on anyone ever again in voting for a man that encompasses everything you judge everyone else over.

Well, I guess the wise and righteous M Piper would throw the adulterous and murderous King David under the bus too.
There is a helluva difference in the skill and character sets needed to be a Pastor, and that of POTUS...in today's world.
Religious Grandstander, most likely. Trump is low hanging fruit for Preachers who want attention. He'll get his attention.

And I don't think they're idiots, my earlier comments were about credulity not stupidity. Plenty of brilliant people believe nonsense. Isaac Newton believed in alchemy and Einstein thought voodoo was real.

Is there any honest religious, ethical or moral argument that can dispute this claim?

I wasn't trying to turn this into a religious debate thread so let's not go down that road before it gets wacked.
I really was just curious what the Trump supporters here thought of character and leadership ability attacks like this coming from a pastor vs say a John Lewis or a celebrity.
Should Trump fire up the Twitter defense?

I think I understand what you mean. And I agree to an extent. That being said, I think the Catholic Church today has adjusted a lot for the better (no absolutions) or worse (priests diddling kids.)
But there are certain rejections that you're referring to that I think aren't in modern Christianity for a reason.
Would probably be a better conversation over beer if you'd ever not be an arse and go grab beer with me.

Sure, especially if you don't believe objective morality exists.
Nothing Donald Trump has ever done is inherently good or evil.

I sure don't care what a preacher says. And I hope trump ignores it.

Most of those brainwashed morons voted for Trump.

81% to be precise.

Same here along with what celebrities say but he didn't ignore that and it was celebrated here that he went on the attack.

And many brainwashed morons voted for Clinton. Most people are stupid and indoctrinated, it's the nature of the world. Some indoctrinations tend to be more optimized for good societies, though.

Yes, read Romans 13:1 and outside of Jesus Himself I can't find anyone in Scripture in positions of leadership who had no flaw. King David, King Solomon, Peter, Saul of Tarsus...tremendous leaders who carried many failings yet were used mightily by God, is kind of how He works. Too bad many Christians fail to acknowledge this reality. Am not advocating moral depravity but hadn't met anyone morally qualified to lead, even the best among us are flawed, it is the human condition

1 Samuel, Chapter 8
4 So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. 5 They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.”
6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.”
[b]10 Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”
21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the Lord. 22 The Lord answered, “Listen to them and give them a king.”
Most anti-government message I've ever seen in any religion's scripture.

So I'll answer as an evangelical I guess. I had no foolish beliefs that Trump was a good man. He is not by any means whatsoever. He has low morals and maybe an average character at best. But I'm not electing him to be my pastor. I want him to steer an economy and keep my country safe.

Well in the next election or the one after, you've lost your rights to shove your religious principles down people's throats and to try to implement them in government. I won't accept a "holier-than-thou" attitude from a Trump voter or a Hillary voter for that matter.

Is quite interesting how the governance of the Hebrews evolved as chronicled in Scripture. Priests, Kings, Judges, quite a variety.
