They're both great trucks, but the Tundra doesn't come close to the F150's available features. If you're just looking for a basic truck, flip a coin. If you're the kind of person that wants the most modern tech, the F150 is the answer.
Also, of you want the option of building one to your exact specs, you need to go F150 (out of the options given in the OP).
Based on OP's price point, none of that really applies to him. So he can flip a coin.

Depends on what you want it for
I don't tow anything other than a trailer at times. I don't commute like I used to so gas mileage is not an issue. I have 3 kids....which has more cab space?

Probably the crewmax Tundra.

F150 SuperCrew will do you just fine. Plus the flat floor in the back is money for moving things in the cab.
Tundra interior space:
Interior Measurements
FRONT HEAD ROOM 39.7 in.
FRONT HIP ROOM 62.6 in.
FRONT LEG ROOM 42.5 in.
FRONT SHOULDER ROOM 65.7 in.
REAR HEAD ROOM 38.9 in.
REAR HIP ROOM 60.4 in.
REAR LEG ROOM 42.3 in.
REAR SHOULDER ROOM 65.5 in.
F150 SuperCrew interior dimensions:
Interior Measurements
FRONT HEAD ROOM 40.8 in.
FRONT HIP ROOM 62.5 in.
FRONT LEG ROOM 43.9 in.
FRONT SHOULDER ROOM 66.7 in.
REAR HEAD ROOM 40.4 in.
REAR HIP ROOM 64.7 in.
REAR LEG ROOM 43.6 in.
REAR SHOULDER ROOM 65.9 in.
F150 has more space in rear for sure.

Is there a messaging option here?
He's pissed that the still has to remove the antenna to go through the car wash. PL Toyota told him yesterday they plan to remove the external antenna in the next couple of model years. Do you know anything about that? He's considering waiting if they are.

Don't get a jap truck. Just sayin.'

If you are looking to put more that 120K miles on the truck, then it is Tundra hands down. You can keep a F150 on the road past 120K miles, but it is going to cost you.

My biggest fear in buying a F150, is it's reliability over time. I know that the Tundra will last, but I do think that the F150 will as well if maintained, and you avoid those ecoboost engines.

Got anything to base this off of? There are lots and lots of high mileage ecoboost vehicles running around.

That's not true at all. I think most everyone knows that for reliability you can't top a Toyota in virtually any vehicle.
Does the F150 have more bleeding edge technology, yes. Is that a good thing, it depends. More stuff to break.
What I don't like about my F150 is the AC controls are below the radio, and they can be a big challenging to reach and adjust to reach, especially while driving. The Tundra has a cleaner dash, and things are more easy to reach and change.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've got another choice. Looking for a new truck for my daily driver. Don't care about tech features, not overly concerned with mpg, and I only tow a small trailer. Mostly looking for a truck I can keep for a long time, that will be reliable. I will be doing about 50/50 highway to city driving.
I can get a 2015 ram ecodiesel with 50k miles or a 2015 tundra with 30k miles for the same price.
Any thoughts

Buddy of mine is an ASE certified master mechanic and has worked at a Ford dealership since his certification. He drives a Tundra, his wife drives a Pilot. I've asked him as have others why he doesn't drive a Ford, his answer is that it's far more lucrative to work on a Ford than own one. So, .

So all of the older than 6 year Fords on the road are just a figment of my imagination?

They'll be off the road once the owners pay off the notes and are no longer upside down

If that the rationalization you make to pay more for a truck that literally does nothing better than the F150, congrats I guess.
