Nose guard Travonte Valentine has been dismissed from the LSU football team for violating team rules, head coach Ed Orgeron announced on Thursday.

Valentine, a sophomore from Hialeah, Florida, played in the first five games of the season for the Tigers, recording a total of 10 tackles. Valentine did not play in LSU’s final seven games.

“At this point in time, Travonte is no longer part of our football program,” Orgeron said. “We wish him the best.”

I still say he was allowed back as a Hail Mary of sorts by Miles and none of the other coaches wanted him back.

some dudes just don't get it. And can't hack it when they are getting multiple chances.

Meh. His attitude apparently hasn't been where it needs to be and we have a bunch of studs coming in. He's had too many problems to be worth it IMO, a cancerous attitude at this point costs the team way more than his play adds to it with guys like Alexander and Lawrence coming up

for a violation of team rules!?

How do you work so hard to come back just to get kicked off. I had high hopes for him after the Wisconsin game. How many chances does someone think they deserve in life

Probably wasn't going to get any playing time. The writing was on the wall for the last 6 or 7 games of the season. We have a good bit of younger talent I rather see on the field anyway. I hope Valentine gets it together and turn this into a positive.

been preaching he was a waste of time but i was getting bashed for saying it, complete waste of time and energy getting this kid ready for him to flush it down the drain yet again.
