Feel sorry for the guy. PM is now making a list of his excuses when he doesn't make it to Omaha.

I've had TJ surgery before. Every time it's discussed here, I remind people that after a few months, the elbow is fine and all of the rehab focuses on core strength and getting the shoulder back in shape to handle the stress. And that's where most of the post-surgery injuries happen.

Good luck, AC. See you next year.

You can't blame the lsu coaches for TJ injury. What if the kid threw way too much in high school? It could have just been a matter of time.

Cartwright is due to graduate in May, and he should be eligible to pitch in 2018 as a fifth-year graduate student, Mainieri said. The coach said Cartwright could later petition for a potential sixth year in 2019

does he want to be pitching at LSU when he's 35?

I couldn't see him getting a 6th year but I guess it's possible.

If he plays through 2019 season he might outlast PM.

Weren't they already talking about how he met all of the requirements last year? Or am I mistaking him for someone else?

He did. And he got it for that season. I'm not familiar enough with the rules to know if he has a chance for 2 years.

Most of the problems happened in youth baseball.

A friend of mines son is at Tennessee, despite taking
very good care of his arm, not pitching in the fall and
only pitching for one of his 2 summer teams, he blew
out his arm in a bull pen session with no previous pain

They must be doing that on purpose because you never hear of that happening anyplace else.

This wasn't the coaches fault at all. Alden played baseball his entire life. He was pitching on varsity in 8th grade. The dude just has a lot of miles on that arm.
