Going to see them for the first time in Houston.

For the people who have gone, how was it?

Worth the price of admission?

Pretty pumped its the Joshua Tree Tour, not a huge fan of the last album.

I saw them at Reliant in 2009. Muse opened up. It was a really solid show. Great sound and lights. They're good musicians and Bono is a hell of a performer. They played a couple of deep album cuts. Not too much from "No Line on the Horizon", which was fine.

got my tickets for Reliant as well.

I had always been on the fence about seeing them but the HBO special they did last year pushed me to the must see column.

I saw them on the Zoo TV tour in 92. I had fun. I wouldn't rate it one of the best concerts I ever went to, but it they put on a good show.

Saw them in '97 at Death Valley Stadium in Clemson, RATM opened. Phenomenal show.

Also saw them in '85 in Tampa. Might earn some downvotes when I say this, but it was kinda underwhelming. They weren't bad per se, but they didn't seem ready to command the arenas yet...probably would've enjoyed them more in a theatre setting at that time.

Can't say it was best ever, but definitely top 5. Met Edge and Bono in Cortana the night before.

Saw them in 1981 at Ol' Man Rivers in Avondale. My impression from meeting them backstage was that they all were about 18 years old

I had always remembered them playing about eight songs, then playing them again for an encore. Setlist website says my memory wasn't that far off.

I saw the original Joshua Tree show at the PMAC back in '87. Had to jump through my arse to get tickets to impress a girl. Show was okay, I honestly was not blown away. Most impressive thing was the crowd singing "40" after the lights came on. The sex was far more exceptional than the concert IMO.

I saw the Pop Mart tour.

Best show ever. I wasn't a big U2 fan at the time, but holy frick do you get your money's worth with them. The stage, lighting, entrance, theatrics of it all....going to see U2 just isn't a standard show. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

The amount of work and money put into their shows is unparalleled.

Fine, I'll say it... their song 'the saints are coming' is fricking trash... I've always hated it and I'm a saints fan... here are the lyrics (or at least how the song goes in my head):

The saints are coming

The saints....

Are coming

I said OOEIDNDW JFIRNE KEITNE. DJRJR. DJRJRNR DNDJFJR FJRIRNR DINDIW IDORNFN SKFKNF S JFKFNE SM. DJDJRKENDNFNDJ REPLY

frick U2, sorry had to get that off my chest
