I don't understand why it is so hard to stop owning these dogs.

I'm not a pit bull advocate but I encounter them with some regularity and have never seen one get aggressive in any form.

Of course, I hang out at dog parks attended by responsible people, at friends' houses, etc., not in shitty ghettoes south of I-20.

Same. There's an awesome one at our dog park that my dog always plays with.

But, they should all be spayed and neutered. No reason for the breed to continue.

Why not just spay/neuter the owners of pit bulls? Extermination of the owner of this breed is the only answer. Spay/neuter the ones that are left and let it run its course.

I understand this is very reasonable to a lot. I just don't see any other solution. You cant count on the owners, they have proved time and time again to be irresponsible.

The Southern District Five area is an upstanding community , just ask Rep John Lewis.

Yep.

Large percentage of owners are irresponsible trash dicks, thus we have no choice but to end the breed.

Serious question. Has anybody ever seen a pit bull owner that isnt straight trash?

I know a married couple, early 30s, wealthy, white, Christian, conservative, etc. who own one pit bull and have fostered some others.

Yeah, but they are admittedly in a tiny minority.

I live in one of the many good parts of district 5, so I can't fully endorse that shite. But it's ridiculous to see some people lavish praise on Vine City like it's a cultural hot spot.

I'd end the barbaric cruelty with humane lethal injections until they're all gone.

responsible people

This is it in a nutshell. My future sister-in-law has one and we were around it with our two toddlers this christmas. I made sure the boys were never alone with the dog, but it just laid around and if they got too close for it's liking, it moved to another area. She said the dog is scared of her nieces and nephews.

They are extremely good dogs when raised right. Get someone irresponsible and this is what happens. shite owners.

It takes very strong discipline and responsible ownership to raise one correctly. Most people, even the non-trashy ones, are unqualified.

Then they have the majority of owners who ENCOURAGE the aggressive behavior. You know who I'm talking about.

I know Larry Benoit had two at one time. He does the Dick Russell training around the BR area. The reason i say he had two is because he had to put one down for being to aggressive. I'm typically one that will say it's all how you train a dog, but after talking to him and knowing that someone as knowledgeable as he is couldn't control his, then i just can't see owning one. They are just to volatile and strong to not cause problems.

Maybe "extermination" was incorrect diction. Its ridiculous that these incidents keep happening tbh

I'm find with the dogs but don't trust people to do right by them, hence I'd rather people not own them period. Sucks to punish the animal, but my kid's lives >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any animal alive.

Spay and neutering them isn't punishing them. Stopping people from breeding them isn't punishing them.

No one is going to write legislation to euthanize every pit bull and pit mix

Could you imagine the PR nightmare surrounding that when family pets are being executed
