I'm coming to realize that conservative thought is outnumbered badly on FB

On a financial group that I follow on Facebook, someone was asking about tax returns. In one of the follow up comments someone wrote this:

"If you receive more money back than you paid in taxes, you aren't receiving your tax refund, you are receiving mine."

All hell broke loose. The thread has been since deleted, but they called this guy every name in the book. Dozens of comments bashing him. Maybe 2 or 3 defending him.

Second. I love me some Goldman Sachs Elevator. This weekend, they posted this pic:

With the caption: How is it different for poor people?

Again, dozens of people bashing them. A couple of supports.

I only use FB for friends/family/customers and anti SJW groups.

Pretty much everything else is too lib-prog for me.

mostly it's younger people on facebook... the average Trump voter over about 50 doesn't spend much time online

Yep.

Too bad someone is forcing you to use it.

Absolutely no one succumbs to political correctness on facebook. Everyone shares exactly what they are thinking on there. It's all 100% honesty.

Replace the words "feed" with "give them anything for free", "birds" with a different "word", and "feeding" with "continuing to give them handouts" "birds" and you'll have the answer to the riddle of what's wrong with America.

It's outnumbered here as well. It's outnumbered everywhere. Every dollar has its constituency. That's why shrinking government is so impossible.

Only for that year's accounting period.

If I pay 10k in taxes one year, and pay none the next year and get 5k back on top of that, I am receiving my own refund from a previous year.

I mean we could go with your logic I guess, if you want to classify large numbers of retired people who have paid plenty of taxes into the system as leaches. Mitt Romney had no problem with doing that. Of course there is no logical reason to stop at benefits paid through the IRS. Anyone on subsidized student loans is getting a federal benefit equal to the difference between interest on a market rate loan and interest on their subsidized loan. This would make large numbers of college and professional school students dependent birds by your logic.

People aren't birds. I would think that would be obvious. Trump supporters are even dumber that I thought I guess.

If Goldman Sachs put up that sign, they have a hell of a nerve.
