I'm so disappointed with basketball and Alleva...

I tried to sell tRant that LSU would make the NCAAT 2 years ago and we did - only to faceplant against NCST. I was all onboard with Ben Simmons and excusing the terrible season start. I even thought we'd turn it up SEC play. Basically, an apologist.
I was never a CJJ believer, but after TJ fail, I figure let's see.
LSU should be able to pay for and attract a quality coach. Basketball is a high revenue sport. I don't understand the disconnect with LSU AD.

You act like LSU is in a slump basketball wise. This is par for the course. We are the vanderbilt of basketball in the SEC. It doesn't matter who we hire. It will always be this way. Do you see Vandy becoming a huge powerhouse in football anytime soon? Do you see them pulling a top 5 class anytime soon? I didn't think so.
All this does is give the rantards another thing to bitch about. LSU will never be relevant in basketball... at least not on a consistent basis.

It is rather perplexing and mysterious that we can't get a basketball program that can at least compete in the SEC. It's easy to blame Alleva (there is a great deal of circumstantial evidence), but I'm not sure. Regardless, LSU deserves a better athletic program. For too long we've lived off of faded memories and hope. I think it's time to win a couple of championships.
