Take them to Mike Anderson's. Why not patronize a former player's restaurant?

you want our recruits to DIAF?

Is there a per meal limit that LSU can spend per recruit? If so, then why not take them to the most expensive buffet in town?

Why do they take the players to national chain? Louisiana has the best local restaurants in the country and they do this? Give them a taste of Louisiana and of LSU!

Guys relax, they take them there because it's all you can eat...Don't want them leaving hungry....

I used to work there while at LSU. Great food, but the staff sucks and they all hate LSU due to how much food they order. One of the Mexican cooks actively rooted against LSU. It was a real shitty work environment, but again, great food

The football team was always there. I got to see a lot of the behind the scenes wine and dining which was neat.

How much do you think that bill will be?

You are acting like they only go eat once. They will eat dinner twice, lunch 3 times. There are plenty of chances for them to eat some local food.

They'll have lunch at the Student Union for the taste of student life.

I live in the Richmond, Va area and there is a Texas de Brazil franchise location here. It is good, but to tell me the STFU because I say local restaurants in Louisiana are superior is just totally uncalled for! Now you go sit in the corner!

I think it's also to show off Perkins Rowe being one of the nicer spots in BR

So you are saying there are no local restaurants in the is area?

Sounds like Texas de Brazil has been a very successful choice in the past. Why mess with success?

This can only help win big Marvs and Chaisson's moms over. Jk

Louisiana food is great, but seafood is expensive this time of year and not always the most filling to a 300 pound 18 year old. Texas de Brazil is right under the meal budget per person and allows the kids to eat as much as they want.

Texas da is an excellent place. If you go local you have issues like does the kids have allergies to shellfish. That all you need for Marvin Wilson to look like the stay puff marsh mellow man because we didn't know he was allergic. Prime example Kendrick Allen years ago was a top contender to go to Miami went down on his OV the coaches had him get the lobster poor guy ended up in the hospital down in Florida. So needless to say he didn't go play for the U.

Went to Mike andersons before the bama game. They have really gone downhill. That used to be my favorite spot.

This is true MA's sucks since Big Mike gave it to his son. This would be worthy of its own thread on the F&D Board

As someone in BR, I appreciate a good meal at Tejas de Brazil. I can't imagine how much I would have enjoyed it as a high school athlete. We used to get asked to leave the Chinese buffets, but that was more the linemen's doing.

Agreed. I loved Mike Anderson's in college, but when I last ate there a few years ago, it was really bad.
