Super Melt on DU: Bernie Sanders: I see areas where I can work with Trump

Source: Politico
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders extended an olive branch Thursday to President-elect Donald Trump, offering to work with the incoming Republican administration on infrastructure and trade policy.
“I don’t think it makes sense to say, ‘No, we’re not gonna work in any way in any form with the Trump administration,’” Sanders told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “Trump has talked appropriately about a collapsing infrastructure: our roads, bridges and water systems. If he is prepared to work with us on rebuilding America’s crumbling infrastructure and creating millions of jobs and doing it in a way that doesn’t privatize our infrastructure or give tax breaks to billionaires, yes, let’s work together.”
In a break with his party, Trump has proposed a $1 trillion infrastructure spending plan, a proposal Democrats have expressed a willingness to work with him on. And, despite Sanders' progressive positions on the left and Trump's hard-line views on the right, both espoused similar views on trade.
Sanders credited the president-elect for talking about what he referred to as America’s “failed trade policy” on the campaign trail, particularly NAFTA and trade relations with China."

The DUmmies are beyond aghast that Sanders finds common ground with Trump.
What F'ing idiots the Dummies all are to not see that Trump is of much more liberal mind than that Goldwater Girl.

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want them to work together when possible. Usually when you have people from different sides of the spectrum working together the results are pretty good. We need more of this in our politics, not less.

Trump is exactly what the left has been saying the right needed to be. Much more socially and fiscally moderate.
The right embraced a moderate candidate and now the left is calling him literally Hitler bc he made some off color comments 15+ yrs ago.

Maybe because it was primarily the East and West coasts that voted for Loser Clinton, the DUers think they don't need roads to travel because they can always travel by boat.

Someone ask Bernie if this means the freedom up North to bid on these projects and get them all while being non union

I see a shitton of worry that Trump will -privatize- infrastructure.
What does that even mean?
What does that even mean?

Trump is much more of a Democrat than Republican. i've said that for months
his populism overlaps with Bernie's populism, which should tell people a lot

i tell idiots on the right on here all the time they're fricking up when they "go low" on Obama
or Odumbfrick, or whatever stupid pet name they developed
i criticize Obama for his countless shitty policies, just as i'll do with Trump
but yes, the progs and DEMs are full on "obstructionists" just like the GOP was. they have to own that shite and not try to spin it

I agree with Bernie since he is a socialist. The problem is not on his end, it's on the GOP end in that many of you knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing conservatives don't want Trump to work with Bernie.

Please show me where and when Repubs rioted and destroyed cities because barry was elected. I will admit, I bitched to friends & my wife but I also thought McCain was not a good candidate and predicted Obama would win. I even posted a negative comment or 2 about him on here. That's it, not cried in the streets and definitely did not declare war on Obama.
So no, the same thing did not happen 8 years ago.

Thanks Bernie for being the voice of reason... Trump's success is America's success
