Steve Kerr shot 40% from 3 in his last year in the NBA. Clearly he was done at that point. If you keep up with the league you would know that it's almost a consensus around the league that his game has fallen off....
You're a fricking hack

Not sure if this is out there yet - I hear Mo Williams is Atlanta bound along w/a heavily protected 1st from Cavs for Korver @BBallInsiders
Being traded when you've "retired" must be tough.

Who did the Cavs give up for Steve?
Posted on 1/5/17 at 7:17 pm to jturn17
Huh. What kind of protection would the Cavs have? 20-30 protection for 2 years?

"fallen off" does not mean "washed," and it also doesn't mean "fallen off a cliff."
Ray Allen's game had fallen off in his first couple of years in Miami. But he wasn't washed when the Heat won the title. Lots of good players can get worse and still be incredibly valuable. Anybody that can shoot 41% is incredibly valuable.

Iirc there's another poster who also said he is pedestrian this year I take it he's a hack too.

Not bad to get a 1st round pick in return then.
Posted on 1/5/17 at 7:19 pm to ReauxlTide222
Just bc a player still shoots a hi % doesn't mean his game hasn't fallen off.
Posted on 1/5/17 at 7:19 pm to Smoke7024
If it's heavily protected they'll likely never get it.
Posted on 1/5/17 at 7:21 pm to Fun Bunch
Then surely that can't be correct. Might as well let him expire at the end of the year then.
Posted on 1/5/17 at 7:22 pm to Smoke7024
It surely could be correct. Happens all the time. The owner might just want to reduce payroll or any tax situations.
It might be heavily protected but could still be used as an asset. We will see what the protection is.

Hawks guy on twitter saying the pick would likely be 2020 or later.

No you're not. You guys never go to the game. Youll see him more now on TNT. Lol.

The rich get richer. Contract 10 teams and spread the wealth.
Posted on 1/5/17 at 7:25 pm to RedRifle
I watch probably 90% of Hawks games or more.

Kyle Korver was on the court warming up for Atlanta when he was told he had been traded to Cleveland. He reportedly broke down crying.

That breaks my fricking heart. Somebody actually liked us enough to cry when they were told they were gonna win an nba title

Lol Korver will get over it quickly when he has a ring at the end of the year.
