In France, you have the right to ignore business emails after hours

Sounds nice in theory but there are so many jobs that are so dependent I just can't see how this would 1) be practical or 2) be enforceable.
Sounds nice in theory though. Americans need to get a better work/life balance (you know the actual producers at least)

do you know how hard it is to fire people in France? That is part of their problem.

I like the idea and definitely agree we need a better balance between work life and non-work life but i can see this being incredibly difficult to manage. Especially in the US

Hire people to work around the clock. Problem solved.

I think the job just needs to define this if you are in a critical position. We default to always getting emails. As a manager I even tell my folks don't answer emails at night and spend time with family but they still do and it. You don't want people stressed.

If you're really a supervisor/manager, I bet your employees really respect you.

You have the right to do this in Merica, too.
