Yep. Prior to the one I shot, I'd seen one in my life. My buddy shot her flying by herself about 4 years ago.

The one above came in with a drake, but didn't get a shot on him. I think a few made it down this year. I know two people that killed them in west Louisiana, and I saw several the day I shot that one. Funny you posted this today, because one of those guys I know texted me about it last night.

Not the most common of ducks in Louisiana Killed one in the timber in north Louisiana about 20 years ago. Threw us all for a loop trying to figure what it was

See them in darbonne lake occasionally

I am only aware of about 8-10 being killed,

Nearly all in the chef area
