Today would be an impressive win for O and the Tigers, I'd say. Very happy for him and the team

Not sure I agree they were impressive to begin with

Alabama beat the same teams, does that mean their wins are just as less impressive?
Posted on 1/1/17 at 6:42 am to LSUFAN2
Alabama also beat USC, Auburn, Florida

with aranda and canada o can just sit back and watch

LSU just did not beat those mediocre teams. LSU beat the shite out of them. In recent years under Les, including barely surviving against a bad MSU team this season, Miles just eked out wins.
Using the same players that averaged less than 20 points per game against FBS teams under less, the offense under Orgeron set many offensive records. The number of penalties and confusion on offense declined.
If the offense would have scored a TD once in all of those trips inside the 5 against Florida, his only loss would be by 10 to Bama which is still the closest that anyone has played them.
He is the LSU head coach. Support the man. Was he the right choice? We don't know, but he is the choice.

This is simply false. We beat the crap out of Auburn, South Carolina and Texas Tech last year.

I love people that completely miss the point. Alabama's coach has proven he can win at a high level He won 9 games his first year as a HC. O won 10 in his first 3 years

Saban's first job was taking over a team with a winning record in the MAC. Oregeron's first job was taking over a team that went 4-7 and was in the toughest football conference. Granted Oregeron did horrible at his first attempt at being a head coach, but let's not act like he can't improve. I don't think anyone is anointing him the next Nick Saban but damn, it's like he can't do anything right with some of you people!

Are you serious?? He likely would have lost ALL those games!
did you watch any of those games?
Fournette racked up 284 yds runnin the toss lead against Ole Piss.
Miles loved that play and you're an idiot if you think he wouldn't have ran it or that Ole Piss would have stopped it with Miles on the sideline instead.

Orgeron would have destroyed Wisconsin and Auburn.

Yes. Those teams were all 90+ in rush defense. Les would have kept those games uncomfortably close.

Les could've easily lost this team
Scoring a bunch of points and changing things up was needed.
No coach in the country could or can or will beat this Bama team including one much more talented than LSU
Using that as a barometer for O is borderline retarded. Hamstrung w no true offensive coordinator is kinda important.
I feel I must state that I didn't want O hired

I think it will obviously be at least one full season before we have any idea whether or hiring O as HC was likely to be a good hire.
The first part of next year will offer almost no information. With four creampuffs out of conference and most of the SEC likely in rebuild LSU should start the year at least 4-0 before they face a team that can match up in terms of talent:
2017 Schedule:
Sat, Sep 09 Chattanooga Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) TBA
Sat, Sep 16 Mississippi St. * at Starkville, Miss. (Davis Wade Stadium) TBA
Sat, Sep 23 Syracuse Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) TBA
Sat, Sep 30 Troy Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) TBA
Sat, Oct 07 Florida * at Gainesville, Fla. (Ben Hill Griffin Stadium) TBA
Sat, Oct 14 Auburn * Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) TBA
Sat, Oct 21 Ole Miss * at Oxford, Miss. (Vaught-Hemingway Stadium) TBA
Sat, Nov 04 Alabama * at Tuscaloosa, Ala. (Bryant-Denny Stadium) TBA
Sat, Nov 11 Arkansas * Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) TBA
Sat, Nov 18 Tennessee * at Knoxville, Tenn. (Neyland Stadium) TBA
Sat, Nov 25 Texas A&M * Baton Rouge, La. (Tiger Stadium) TBA
