That is just retarded.

Think about what was in cars in 75 and what was in them in 95.
think about tvs from 75 and tvs from 95.
think about telephones from 75 and telephones from 95.

Now do that from 95 to now. If you can't see the huge difference there then you're a cotten headed ninny muggins.

We have had a huge wave of technology that has made life a lot more convenient in areas. I'm looking forward to the next 20 years

Definitely will be interesting. We are quickly getting to the the point now where one literally will not have to leave their home for anything.

Movies - just click "on demand"
Dinner at a restaurant - just call someone to have it delivered
Work - we have computers/phones with cameras and we can access everything remotely
Shopping (even groceries in some areas) - just have them delivered
Dating - just use the app on your phone to meet people
School - why go to class? Everything can be done on line, even test

We are going to be one broke, anti-social group of MFers!

sucked. You had city maps, you would look up the street name and there would be a guide in the back that gave you a grid location for each street name.
You would then look in that grid for the street and then make your route there.

streets that were more than one grid, you just had to go to them and then get your bearings.

while I agree with your point, in respect to trucks. Definetly a bigger jump from 76 to 96 than 96 to now.

add this image to your pics.

I grandma asked me yesterday if they still sell those portable cd players you plug headphones into.

I really couldn't give an answer because I'm not sure.

How much of it has changed?

All of it. I'm struggling to think of a single thing that has not changed to some extent

No.
No there isn't.
we have cars that park themselves.
We have cars that alert you when someone is in your blindspot.
We have cars that stop on their own if something runs out in front of you.
We have cars that alert you if there's slow moving traffic ahead, as well as speak directions to you.
We have cars we can speak commands to and it does it.

Explain that to someone from 1995 and see how crazy that would sound.
the guy from 1995 tells the guy from 1975, "hey you won't believe it but we have this thing on cars now that roll the windows down with a button, and you can press a button and the car stays at that speed without you touching the pedal." Then the guy from 2016 says, "oh yeah, well I can start my car with my phone from inside my house. The guys from 1995 and 1975 look at their rotary phones in their house in disbelief, while the 2016 guy shows them a video of starting the car on a 70" HD tv that he's mirroring from his phone, on how this remote start works.

In 1997 I had a remote that could start my car from inside my house.

100% in truck tech bigger jump from 76 to 96. Most of what you mentioned isn't really on average trucks yet.

The biggest change on trucks is cost. A nice truck now is $55-60k. A nice truck in 1996 was $25-30k.

But yes in total, much bigger jump in last twenty years in terms of technology. No doubt.

I was only going on the F150 example in that post. I find PeeeJ's comment to be a folly.
