I have 4 DDH Envie growlers that were picked up Friday night and are being delivered to me today and have been refrigerated. I want to give them as gifts tomorrow and have to say I've never bought beer in a growler.

Will it last a bit?

They'll be fine as long as they haven't been opened which I'll assume they haven't been.

Yep, IPA's seem to lose quite a but after 24 hours. Stouts seems to last longer, even 3 days and be drinkable.

If it's filled and sealed right, it'll last weeks..... Not that I'd hold on to that beer for that long. The Parish folks usually do a great job with the growlers/crowlers, so they should be fine if they're not ready to crack them right away.

I've kept them sealed for up to 5 days, and they were good when opened. Some say they can go longer, but I never tried.

I'm talking about once you open it.

If you want to keep a growler of craft beer fresh for quite a length of time, look up GrowlTap.com. That is a great invention and really works!

Tomorrow? Yeah they will be fine. I typically don't let a growler sit for longer than a week. But as people have said, once opened you have 24-48 hours.

I had a growler sit for a month and it was fine. Granted it was a ceramic flip top growler with a rubber gasket.
