When? You are making Pascals Wager...not that theres anything wrong with that. The problem is when Pascals Wager is forced on everyone else.
100 years. 500 years. Who knows.
And Pascals Wager is based on ones personal belief not scientific observation. There's plenty of evidence in the history of the earth and elsewhere in the solar system to suggest that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and coincides with warming trends (again, when solar output is factored in).
FWIW, I'm not convinced it's a threat to humanity - that's even further stretch than just saying the oceans will rise 100ft.
But it would change the world significantly. But slowly. So adaptation will be key along with technology.

There is no scientific observation of the future. Their guesses are based on personal belief.

Second, what you are doing is the equivalent to looking at a single day percentage increase on a stock and selling everything you've got to buy as much as you can, believing that single day rate of return will occur every day from now on.
First off, we do know what the average temperature was based on isotopic analysis of gas bubbles trapped in ice and ocean cores, so yes we know what the average temperature in places where core samples were taken for as long ago as 50k years.
Secondly, its AVERAGES, thats why its not a day to day whatever you were talking about
Dec 23 right now ON AVERAGE around the globe is 1.5 degrees warmer than the last century AVERAGE, those AVERAGES dont normally statistically vary much so to have a variation of 1.5 degrees within 100 years is on the verge of being catastrophic, because once again, ITS AVERAGES and im not quite sure you understand the heat energy necessary to raise a global AVERAGE temperature.
ummm, its averages based on thousands of measurement around the globe both land and sea, shallow and deep

No you don't know what the average global anything was, based on a limited number of cores from a specified area of the globe. It may be like the core samples of the bristlecone pine. The samples were not telling the "scientists" what they wanted, so they limited the scope to 3 trees. (3) trees.
SCIENCE!!

Again..where are you getting the 1.5 degree increase in 100 years?
Also, is that uptick in temps an increase in daytime temps or less of a cooling in nighttime temps?

Why do you believe this to be accurate?
Because the data that determines this information has been verified by every climate data gathering agency around the world?

In Dzalinda Siberia it's currently -60 degrees

Great! Sounds like a lot of specifics you could point to...I mean "verified by every data agency"
Can you cite a few?
Thanks.

Here's a simple science question- let's see who knows anything about science...
Lets say tomorrow the North Pole thaws completely, and Santas workshops swims with the fishes... Does the global sea level elevation increase... At all?

You couldn't be more Wrong. Scientist make "guesses" based on observations, correlations, statistical probabilities, etc.

32 degrees at North Pole
More importantly, doesn't Santa's sled need a firm ice runway to take off from the North Pole tonight?

Correct. And when those predictions are proven, after the passage of time, by scientific methodology and data, to be false. That "prediction" must be discarded. If this does not happen (as it appears to be with AGW advocates) it is no longer science based.

This is why I am a skeptic on global warming. If more than 1/3 of ice has already melted, and Miami is not underwater, then the earth is just going through another cycle.
You don't know what the difference is betweeen the North and South poles do you?

Not so much anymore. I read that he got a new carbon fiber sled...much lighter.

The satellite record and the surface temp record are different, so tell us which you are talking about.

The satellite record, imo, offer a more accurate measurement because the position isn't fixed by a specific spot on the Earth.
They are, in fact, both surface temperatures. Did you mean the difference between land and sea temps?
