Apparently, there are rules. What kind of shite is this. LINK

If you're trying to find the right gift for the mailman, here are a few simple rules for what postal carriers are allowed to accept, according to ethics guidelines for federal workers including those for the United State Postal Service (which falls under the executive branch of the United States Government.)
Postal workers are generally prohibited from accepting gifts valued at more than $20 from customers and coworkers, but there are some exceptions.
Acceptable Gifts for the Mailman
Some acceptable gifts for your mail delivery person include:
modest refreshments such as coffee, doughnuts, cookies or soda;
plaques, trophies and other items intended for presentation;
perishable items such as food, candy, fruit or flowers so long as they are to be shared with other postal workers;
and retail gifts cards with a value of less than $20 that cannot be converted to cash.
Unacceptable Gifts for the Mailman
Postal workers are prohibited from accepted the following items:
cash
checks
stocks
liquor
anything that can be exchanged for cash
anything of monetary value such as meals, gift certificates, event tickets, and clothing.
Rules
He's getting a bottle of Jameson. Just like the last 7 years.

Yes. Roasted pecans for USPS, ups, fed ex, and garbage men. If I run out of pecans, I give garbage men a case of beer.

If she's hot I usually give her a tip.

My mailman steals enough of my stuff during the year that I feel no need.

um...what? I gotta buy a "world's best mail man" trophy now? Also, my mail person changes daily and none of them are over 25 or so. They're good.

My gift is that they get to retire at 55 and spend the next 30 years in comfort on my dime.

Yes. It's Christmas, after all.

Homemade caramel corn to the garbage men. Now that I think about it a pint of Hennessy would probably be a better gift

Not the mailman but I always gift the trash guys. Tape 2 envelopes to the bin lid - 4 $5.00 Sonic gift cards each. I respect those dudes so much more than any other people that come around. My surly mail lady can suck it.

Why does everyone get a tip or a gift at Christmas?
Posted on 12/21/16 at 7:16 pm to UF
Because it just makes good frankincense to do so
