Pointless right now. Like with Pelini, he'll coach his last game with his current team THEN come over. Prep for Louisville has already started so it wouldn't make sense.

Coach Ensminger has earned the right to coordinate the bowl game .

If possible, and if hired, I say put him on the sideline as a QB coach just for public relations (i.e. recruiting) purposes.

A) highlight the fact yes, somebody has been hired
B) show that integration and work starts now, before NSD
C) IF we have a good or better offensive performance he will be associated with it, which also helps recruiting

The 'if possible': he has to be available and coached his game already (haven't looked this up yet), coaching spot available and not move some necessary GA just for this PR campaign (don't hurt the practicality for optics), has to agree to be hands off in most of the game and focus on players skills and any advice there (don't confuse the issue just yet)

I have a better chance of fricking Selma Hayek tonight than the new OC has of coaching in the bowl game.

This should indeed confirm just how minimal the chances are

I heard Cam Cameron was gonna coach the bowl game from the sidelines. Brandon Harris needs a more face to face approach.

If he accepts the LSU job, Pitt is not gonna want him coaching their bowl game. That only happens when a guy gets a HC job or they are playing for a NC. Pitt is not gonna want LSU's OC calling their plays in a non- title bowl game.

That said, Canada would have nothing to do with LSU's bowl game either. I'm sure he'll be at some practices evaluating, but I doubt he does any coaching. He needs this month to focus on recruiting and figuring out his new personnel.

in a recruiting dead period until after the AFCA convention in January. No reason for him to come before his team's bowl game really.

It undermines Ensminger's authority.

Pelini was coaching for an NC, much like Kirby Smart was last year. if we hire Canada in the next few days, he's not gonna coach Pitt's bowl game. he'll likely be at LSU in some capacity, just not in the OC role for the bowl. getting some time to evaluate the players (and getting to evaluate recruits) is a good thing.
