Can someone help explain coach O's plan to me, please

1. In September he gives a press conference saying he wants to run a vertical pro style offense like USC ran.
2. In November he gives a press conference saying he wants to run a spread offense with a dual threat QB. (USC never had a dual threat QB). This caused a very loyal top 10 QB recruit to possibly decommit.
3. In December reports are he will hire Matt Canada who runs a multiple/pro style offense.
Someone remind me the plan again?

He wants to run a pro-style offense with spread principles interspersed with Art Briles/Air Raid concepts sprinkled with Les-esque power running, topped with a pinch of trickeration. Don't know why this is so hard for everyone to understand.

He doesnt know or care what offense we run. This is what happens when you have a hands off coach. He was just ssying that based on potential OC hires.

I know this is unlikely, and I don't remember the exact quote...BUT could he have meant moving forward, the remainder of the year with the personnel we have in place, that he would be running a vertical pro style offense. Not much of a transition from what Miles was running, but promoting a more aerial attack?
Then, if he got the job, implement whatever wholesale changes he wanted to moving into the following season based on OC hire?
Just a guess, and admittedly, not an educated one.
