It sucks because there will be even less substantive discussion than before.

We have like 6 democrats total, and then 95% of the Republican/Trump posters are all in lock step and will just largely repeat the same mantras over and over.

wanting an investigation into who hacked the DNC is one thing.

Wanting an investigation into the DNC for election tampering is another thing.

Wanting the media to be held accountable for colluding with them is yet a third thing.

Yet here we are, arguing about Russia. If it weren't Russia, it would be China or the Saudis. Maybe the Germans who are still pissed at Obama for tapping Merkels phone. We are hacking them, and they are hacking us. The narrative from the Dems and the media on this is dangerous, regardless of your distaste for Trump supporters.

Remember who we're talking about here

Libs believe they're the smartest people on the planet, and the rest of us are beneath them. They've ben doing this for decades, and they can't help it. They don't know any other way.

DNC's emails were hacked and released
John Podesta's emails were hacked and released
Russia hackers are behind large scale hacks (such as citibank)
Putin accused clinton of meddling in russian affairs
manafort, trumps former campaign manager, has ties to the Yanukovych, a pro russian ukrainian politician
Guccifer 2.0 claimed to be behind the DNC hacks.
Emails between Guccier 2.0 and the hill had metadata in russian
Julian Assange had a tv show on RT, which is a state owned russian media outlet.

And pretty much every expert that has commented on it has said the russians played a role

Its not rocket science to put this together and come to the belief that russia is behind the attacks. Is it enough to support a thorough investigation? You bet your arse it is.

None of these really connect dots except for the point about assange which is valid. At the same time outlets like CNN, NYT, WaPo, etc. have proven to be state propaganda (by assange ironically) and they're reporting unsubstantiated claims.

Again, I don't think it's unreasonable for you to have an opinion on it, I think it's unreasonable for you to reach declarative statements

there it is again it's really sad that so many people discredited themselves during this election.

It's amazing how many of you idiots believe in some Hillary pizza pedo ring, but refuse to acknowledge that Russia helped Trump get elected. Putin needed Trump to ensure they could drill for oil at their shared exxon mobile site in the arctic circle. LINK All the pieces are falling into place just as Putin wanted and he's laughing at us. Soon enough y'all are going to quit blindly following Mr. Trump, but it'll probably take 1-2 years for you lunatics to understand that. Meanwhile it's Russia and Exxon that'll be doing all the winning.

I would actually believe the media if they had not lied so much this election. CNN especially.

A long time US rival may have made an pretty broad influence play in a US election. Why is there anything wrong with arguing about this?

If you don't want to because you'd rather spend all your time discussing DNC activities, that's fine. But for me, I'm on a board of conservatives, so I'm not sure what's left to talk about regarding the DNC corruption.

I agree with you. I think the attitude of "stop talking about Russia because the DNC is more important" is also dangerous. I don't like this new GOP mantra of blowing off concerning developments because they might detract from MORE concerning developments.

I quite truly just purchased a pair of Trump socks for someone in my immediate family within the last 5 minutes

I think this disqualifies me from being a Democrat

why are you pretending that the Russia angle in the news media is real journalism? Report facts and leave the fear mongering to the politicians. This isn't Investigative journalism into who hacked the DNC, they already have their boogeyman and they are using it to sow dissent. The media sent a reporter to the goddam Ukraine to look for Manaforts cocktail napkins, but somehow this requires much, muuuch less scrutiny. No one in the media is even mentioning those other stories, so it's not a matter of covering the hacks insomuch as it is a matter of equity, balance, and priority.

I just want Dems to be consistent. If taking a call from the premier of Taiwan is going to launch 1000 ships, then we should probably shut the frick up about a nuclear kremlin until we actually know what's going on.

Multiple world leaders publicly supported Hillary and very publicly criticized Trump. I also recall a high level Russian official publicly ridiculing Trump, but let's not upset the narrative that the Russians handed the election to Trump.

I mean, this is why you really can't have legitimate discussion on this board. FTR, you've been far more reasonable in this back and forth than other posters, but at no point have I ever done this. Half my posts in this thread have some criticism of MSM in them, for frick's sake.

actually if you use, grasp, the internet, you will see that this is a topic in Infosec circles, where they comment on it.

For instance, the most prominent cyber security analyst/commentator says it looks like the russians did it.
