The CIA believes it, so I will go with them until they're proven wrong.

Whether Russia helped or not, I do believe @real was their preferred candidate by a country mile, because he's a 70 y/o political amateur, he expressed a fondness for Putin along with an abjectly delusional belief in its reciprocity which he was forced to pathetically backtrack on, and he really, really wants to get along with Russia. If @real were a liberal, you people would have rejected him for being a commie-loving bastard.

Is this really your first awareness that state powers hack each other at every level, infrastructure, political, security, military, etc.? Your fascination over the idea Russia may have hacked the DNC borders on the absurd. To directly answer your question, Russia doing what it has always done is no more newsworthy today than it was over the last 30 years they at were doing it.

Go read the Venona cables. What Russia is accused of doing isn't new or uncommon. Your relatively new awareness is just naivete.

If Russia hacked the Dems then they didn't help TRUMP they helped America.

The transparency into one campaign and not the other benefitted Trump.

How terrible that the public got a look at how corrupt the DNC and the media is! Its so unfair!

Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? I mean it isnt even close to how you sounded before the election but then what could be

A hack of the Republicans would probably show them scheming against Trump and saying not to piss him off so he doesn't run third party. Doubt it would hurt him in the least. It would highlight the extent he is an outsider.

Huh? I am merely stating facts. We got an inside look at one campaign and not the other. If a foreign power did this to influence our democracy this should disturb anyone. Some day you will see that this is all about more than pissing off your liberal neighbors kid.

So we saw one side was trying to rig the election. Shouldnt you be happy that they failed?

That word IF again. However there is no question the DNC and the media attempted to subvert our democracy. And yet you dont seem too disturbed by that.

So far I am going with the intelligence community...and to be frank it was pretty clear how one sided the leaks were during the campaign regardless of the source.
The election is over and we need to move on. But it is pretty sad that you guys are outright dismissing this just because it doesn't favor "your guy" who already won.

You mean the unnamed sources in an op-ed piece?

It's actually sad we have a hack assed President that calls for an investigation with a deadline prior to him leaving office. Not accuracy just speed.

The ignorance viewed in this thread sadly is an accurate representation of this country.

Russia's involvement = zero. To believe otherwise only means you are a gullible and quite easily influenced fool.

Russia, who has already BOUGHT and PURCHASED Clinton one time before, would prefer to deal with Trump? People actually believe this? What could POSSIBLY BE THE REASON? Is her already agreed upon price too much?

It is so unbelievably sad how easily the Clintons and the media machine were able to get people to focus on where the emails came from versus the content contained within said emails. I mean, truly truly sad.

I think the Russians fed hacked info to international criminal Julian Assange (who hates the Clintons) to try to manipulate our election for POTUS. Exactly what the Russians motivation was is less clear. Did they want to get Trump elected? Or did they just want to sow seeds of discontent aimed at our election system. I cannot say either is absolutely true. But the net affect, whether intended or not, was to hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Russia hacking an American political party (if this happened) to try and expose their actions absolutely "matters," doesn't it?

Doesn't matter to me in the least, D or R.

The only surefire way to not have to worry about your actions being exposed (your words) is to keep your actions from being nefarious and embarrassing in the first place.

That's the only thing worth discussing here, not the Ruskies.

ETA - The RNC should commission a statue of Anthony Weiner for the lobby of their HQ.

Not sure if DNC was hacked or if a leak. Am sure it made little difference in the election there were many good reasons the American people voted for Trump over Hillary, she was a horrible candidate for one. We obviously need to improve our cyber security but this is more an attempt to steal the election and/or divert attention from something else. They definitely do not want Trump to drain the swamp!
