Shouldn't the sewage fee stay the same?
Just bring the bill to the office and explain your situation. Sewer is based on the lowest water usage months which includes December.

Sometimes you can call and have them waive the sewage fee for the usage from the leak considering it never made it to the sewage. Explain your situation.

The pipe slipped out of the coupling right next to the meter. Guess the glue failed or something. Got away with a $125 bill. Back to drinking.
How does that happen?
They aren't using PEX sharktooth underground. I doubt they would use a glue. Usually it's PVC, PEX with a crimped coupling, or copper with soldered connections.
Glad it's fixed but odd.

By my calculations it's about $0.05 per gallon used. 280 gallons last month cost me $14.21. So 1053 should be a little more than $50. I'll take that. The main break is covered in my home warranty so that's good.
1530 @ .05 would be $76.50 I reckon.
Could have been worse, a lot worse. You should buy your neighbor a case of cold beer.
And you owe the OT a babe thread.
