No. I feel like we're running in circles. It is not the same. The black loan applicant knows that the white loan manager suspects that he or she is not creditworthy, and has to run that gauntlet. Subtle body language proves what the loan manager is thinking and/or assuming. When the stereotype assumption is found not to be true, the applicant can see in the loan manager's actions and statements the "wow, you have good credit" realizing that it is really "wow, I'm surprised you have good credit."

Isn't the black person oppressing the white lender by assuming the white lender is oppressive? Oh, I forgot, all white people are oppressive by nature. Sorry. Totes forgot lol

The federal government forcing financial institutions to lend a proportionate amount of loans to each race based on local population is actually a contributor to the 2007 Housing Market financial collapse
