Someone from the left, please educate me.

Responses so far:

1. If you ask a liberal a question about illegal immigration, you must be a racist

2. Liberals WANT to stop illegal immigration too, but its racist if you want to stop it and aren't a liberal

Wanting to end illegal immigration is not racist, but starting a thread asking if it makes you racist makes you sound racist.

Over here in America the world Marxist cabal realized that separating people by class as they have everywhere else in the world wouldn't work here.

So they separated people by race. Now you are a racist.

Neither the left nor the right want illegal immigration to continue. Everything being debated has more to do with how to stop future illegal immigration and what to do with current illegal aliens in the US.

Because the left has successfully framed the argument as "anti-illegal immigration means anti-immigration".

You're not racist.

But you, like so many, are being pulled toward a false battle line by the magnetism of media -- media that is owned and controlled by the corporate/government.

The false-battle-line concept is going to be hard for people who are fooled by it to understand.

They create a false narrative and it operates as a magnet that pulls people from opposing sides right up close to the line as a way to accentuate division for easier control.

I'll pretend to be on the left:

"I want to end illegal immigration" - Not racist

"GTFO you dirty leeches! TRUMP!" - Might be racist

It's not racist to recognize that people who come to the US illegally are breaking the law.

The discussions around this can tend to have some nasty racial overtones though especially once we start talking about what we'd like to do with undocumented immigrants who are already here, who have families and jobs and contribute to local economies. If your reaction is "round 'em up!" That can come off as a bit jarring.

Some people that come to this country without proper documentation come here for a better life, fleeing poverty, oppression, violence, and other horrible things. Of course I prefer them to go through the official paths. But I also recognize that we're talking about human beings here - nationality aside - with families and livelihoods, and I prefer to keep the conversation in respectful and empathetic terms.

Wanting to end illegal immigration is neither sufficient nor necessary to be a racist.

...but neither does it preclude being a racist.

Generally anti-immigration is associated with racism in this country due to the long history of anti-immigration stances by racists.

Not from the left but it's not. And no matter what they say, they are wrong.

Well the liberals responding are not being very honest when they do give you a response so this might be one of those cases in life where the allegation being leveled is all that matters.

You're not. Don't ever give in and let them make you think you are.

They are the ones who live on the moon.
