This is a good cycle to fire your guy if you have any doubts.

Willie Taggart is a good fit here IMO.

Kevin Wilson would have been a great plantation overseer if he had been born 200 years earlier.

I would not leave USF for IU. Although Mellencamp has thrown Monopoly money lately into the program.

The one thing that may perk up some ears would be if IU decides to raise the salary to Crean's numer. IU pays about 600k less than Purdue and less than what Crean makes.

Kevin Wilson once ripped my buckled helmet off my head, spit on my jersey, & punched me in chest during practice.

But the guy could coach.

IU seems like a better job than Purdue and a good fit for Fleck, but the problem is contending in the east.

He might be an a-hole, but I'd take Wilson as offensive coordinator tomorrow.

Western wasn't contending either. If you go to a Rose Bowl 1 time every 20 years at IU you are a savior. Go 9-3 beat Purdue 3:4 times you are a god there.

There is talent in Indy and Chicago to get and keep the pipeline to California. IU would be a good place, just can you handle not being top dog, as basketball is and always will be king.

Mellencamp has given enough money to make IU successful (for them).

ETA:

If IU is serious about football they will start playing an SECE team again. People forget they were competitive with MU when MU won the East. It would help them with visibility and they can compete with UK, MU, UT, and Vandy.
