Saban is playing chess and LSU is playing checkers

He brings in Sark and lets Kiffen go to LSU.

Then he gets LSU in BDS next year and knows their OC's entire playbook and scheme.

Saban is a damn genius

you can always pick out a moron when someone makes this statement.....pretty much every coach knows the opposition's playbook and scheme, its called film study.

Imagine if Kiffin actually comes to LSU after the SECCG, and Bama scores 7 in a semi-final loss to end their season.

Lmaooooo how do so many people actually up vote this shite?
It's like, "let's think of the best case scenario that could possibly happen for us while also having it be the worst scenario for bama and then let's start telling ourselves it will happen so much so that we actually believe it and then when it doesn't happen we'll be drastically wrong and disappointed again!"

You guys live in fricking la-la land.

Gees, no ill will here towards Kiffin. The dude can do what is best for him and his family and that is fine.

Here is a realist view of Kiffin as an OC:

1) We cant see how he is during practice and how good he is at coaching up players and developing them. He seems to have done a pretty good job with QBs

2) Kiffin is a great play designer. He is creative and has done a great job with plugging in HUNH into the offense

3) He isnt a great playcaller(but also not a bad one)...but really who is out there that is much better right now in the SEC? He does let his ego affect his playcalling and he does get rather predictable at times

4) Hed be an improvement for LSU and/or a number of other programs who are interested. I honestly dont care about his personal life.

There are no hidden playbooks. Maybe a coach comes up 1 or 2 new things per season. By the time we play Bama each team basically knows what is coming.

Your post as whole is solid, but to say he's done a "pretty good job with QB's", is an understatement. Coker and Simms both made huge improvements, under Kiffin.

A concern of mine. Let's shoot strait, unbridled Kiffin is an arrogant a-hole who wants to swing his dick in the face of his opponents. See the touchdown signals before they happen, the tweet after Bama beat USC. Saban does a good job of keeping the childish non-sense to a minimum. I think Ed O would let him run amuck and do stupid shite.

A Kiffin allowed to go unchecked in the playcalling is a Kiffin who may call stupid plays just to show everybody how great he is.

Lol.. Gumps say inmates running the asylum if lane goes to BR. Lmao. Guess he was great there but he's just gonna be terrible in BR. Guess they forgot about his OC stint at usc. O is gonna shock a lot of ppl when we're back to #2 in the sec and right there with bama again. Sleeping giant about to wake up. They scrape wins out vs Lsu without offense. When we finally have it watch out.

Just remember, whoever the next OC is for bama, they will continue to be pretty damn good. I think I could be a good OC under Saban.

If I were a Bama fan, I would not be worried about losing kiffin, as long as Saban is there with their recruits.

Freaking mcelwain was elite at Bama.
