If Herman sucks the big one at Texas, does it ease the pain?

What if Herman can't turn around Texas and gets shitcanned? Do you feel better about how things unfolded? or does it not matter? I think the biggest problem is the incompetence of Alleva. As long as he's AD I have no trust in LSU to put their best foot forward.

If O does well people will forget about Herman, except for the Negatigers who live for something to bitch about. Keep the eyes on our target and forget about Herman and Texas unless we play them.

Agreed. He's an embarrassment to LSU and I knew he would bungle the opportunity to bring in a top name coach.

No because there were a multitude of other coaches elsewhere. The only thing that eases the pain is if Orgeron is better than Miles

No because we didn't have a coaching search like an actual football program

Yes

But the chances of it happening are slim and none.

This is what it's all about. The search was a farce.

It would feel a little better, but I think you hit the nail on the head with this. It was just handled very poorly regardless of anything.

Alleva didn't search. He re-hashed approaching Jimbo and spoke briefly with the flavor of the month.

The Big 12 does not play defense. If Herman can get a good DC he is going to wreck the B12.

That being said, who cares? The SEC is their pappy.

If Bertman were a negatiger, LSU wouldn't have been looking to fire miles last year.

FIFY, and I'll wait and see if he is able to do this. Before the Miles Firing I was cancelling my Season Tickets. Now I am renewing once again.

We missed out on Jimbo and Herman. Who are the other guys out there that were slam dunk better than the "Orgeron Plan?"

Fedora?
The guy from Colorado?
James Franklin?
Mike Dantoni?
Mike Gundy?
Fill in the blank

...I will support O. This fiasco wasn't his fault. The administration however, needs a serious housecleaning.

The best thing would be to meet Herman in the playoffs, beat the ever-loving mess outta that team, then face Bama for the championship and pass for 500 yards and run for 300 yards on our way to beating them by 3 tds, them never crossing the 50 yd line, and saban having a fit on the sidelines for 30 min.

That would be total redemption.

Edit: oh, and Herman will need to lament his regretfor not coming here at the press conference after we beat them.

No one - not Miles, not Herman, not Fisher - could bring LSU a NC in 2017. We have no QB, no Oline, our D is losing big pieces, and our schedule is awful. Saban might have a chance if he was our HC but mainly because he wouldn't have to play himself.

It would be awesome to play them in a bowl game next year.
