I think Archer, Hallman, and Dinardo proved that anyone can't. Miles at least built OSU, who had 1 winning season in 14 years before Miles arrived. Coach O is responsible for 3 of the 7 losing seasons Ole Miss has had in the last twenty years. So I don't think its a slam dunk that anyone can win here. Miles's problem was that 2008 and Jarrett Lee made him a pussy. There is a large difference between the 2007 Miles and the 2014 Miles.

So many things have changed since the 90's ...
LSU has top notch facilities
Recruits know LSU can compete for national titles
Our pay for coaches is top 5
Unlike in the 99's and 80's every team is on TV so recruits aren't more inclined to go to the teams that were always on tv back during those decades
Miles was nothing as an X's and O's coach. He benefitted from facilities, pay for assistants, and fertile recruiting grounds. He sucked offensively and that was always our weakness. O will recruit better and bring in better qbs bc our offense will be more appealing to top qbs

They bitched for 11 years and finally got Miles fired. They are just starting in on Coach O day 1.

If we got 182 it would be likely that we could have scored points. We were in their territory 4 times that game and came away with nothing.

Well we had one missed FG and obviously didn't do much else.
Auburn had their first 3 FG drives of -3, 6 and 19yds. They had their last of 65 yards after the game was already out of reach.
