A tweet to ponder

So Tom Herman has lost three times this year as a double digit favorite — to Navy, SMU and Memphis — and he’s a coaching genius?

Hard to fire up the troops when they know you're leaving.

Yes SMU is a bad loss but Memphis decent and Navy is a top 25 team. They way people act I'm amazed Saban wasnt fired after losing to UAB and ULM

Herman built Houston into a team where they can be a double digit favorite.

And jimbo lost 7 games in 2 years, all with superior talent, and three times he got blown the fk out by less talented teams.

Are you forgetting about O being a 14 point favorite over Florida?

SMU is the only bad loss in the group, and his team was dealing with some injuries. Navy's offense is pretty hard to figure out and they aren't bad this year. Memphis is a lot better than they've been in the past- thanks to Norvell maintaining Fuente's program pretty well, and I could've told you last night that they'd probably win. It was always going to be an uphill battle when the team hears the night before the game that their coach is closing in on a deal with a different school. He was distracted and so was the team.

And some of you fricking want a coach who went 3-21 in the SEC and lost to the only 2 teams with a pulse he faced this year. Niiice.

Urban Meyer went 39-8 at Bowling Green and Utah, with losses to:

Toledo
Miami (OH)
New Mexico
Texas A&M
Northern Illinois
Marshall
Western Michigan
S. Florida

His signature wins in those four years were #20 Pitt and #22 Oregon. Those were the only ranked P5 schools he beat before going to FL.

Orgeron lost at least eight games every season he was head coach. But he's white trash so you love him.

Fisher lost to Louisville this year 63-20 and Houston beat Louisville 38-10. I'll take LSU chances with Herman/Aranda IMO.

and beat florida state like a drum, oklahoma, and louisville.
the same louisville that utterly destroyed FSU by 43 points.

herman's offensive scheme with LSU's talent along with aranda handling the defense is a perfect match.
