I'm very unhappy with the current leadership at LSU. I feel as though they have gotten a number of things wrong.

Cute considering yall hired a coach that faked health issues to get out the sec..

If you have a problem with Alleva, you really need to state your evidence/facts. I feel most people that have a problem with him are just regurgitating what others feel or have said....None of these people have any evidence what so ever that Alleva has done something wrong. Joe answers to TAF, BOS, Pres of LSU....he has no ability to make all decisions on his own.

I blame any screw ups on the people he answers to. I am behind Alleva until I see evidence he screwed up on something. You may not like him and that's fine. If you think he's a failure, you need to state your evidence....not just opinions and speculation.

Joe Alleva has done nothing to improve LSU athletics (period). In my opinion; he should have been fired, along with Les Miles, Last Year.

With respect to his football coach search; he's had two months to produce (make progress), yet, at the end of the day, he finds himself scrambling/wanting.

I have zero confidence in Joe Alleva's ability to position LSU for success.

It is the AD's responsibility to position his school for success. IF others are responsible (as you postulate) then no need for Alleva's position. So, "if" others are responsible; fire Alleva, we'll be no worse off than we are now. Fire Alleva and we can reallocate his salary to Miles' buy-out and have more money available to hire a coach able to produce SEC and National Championships.

Also, I would put your question/challenge to you: Name a successful Alleva hire.

Well, that's the entire point of this argument. He's not be given free reign in his decisions so therefore he hasn't been able to make the splash hires to give himself credibility. You think this guy picks johnny jones out of a blind line up over everyone else in the nation? Pretty sure he was told to hire him with a limited budget. Joe had Miles' bags packed nad then made to look like a fool because it's his job to stand at that podium in front of the public. Women's basketball? Well isn't that like the only other big hire he had his hands in? Well, did the admins give him the budget to go hire the second coming of pat summit? Doubt it?

If you don't want an AD, then that's the Vanderbilt model. Their ATHETIC Dept doesn't turn a profit and reports directly to the academics side. they save money there and hope to prevent scandals because there's no AD to cover up stuff.

So now you want LSU to save money while gettin gets rid of the AD? Well, LSU is one of only 10 schools in the nation that turns a profit and gives back to academics so that's not an issue. Tell the rich bastards and politicians to stay the frick out of the athletics. Then when shite goes wrong u know who is to blame. Until then, u won't get any transparency.
