One of my wife's family memebers isn't coming because she is a big Hillary supporter. I think that's a ridiculous reason for not coming to thanksgiving..

I hope not. We are 75/25 in my family with the 75 towards the R.

I'd rather avoid the topic and enjoy time with family and friends.

If this is the last Thanksgiving I spend with them because the Lord calls me home I don't want it to be spent bickering over politicians who are the same no matter what.

Snowflakes melt pretty easily near a hot turkey.

I'm sure it'll come up, but they all voted for Trump, so no real reason to argue.

I was informed by the woman hosting the Thanksgiving I am going to that there is a strict no politics rule in place.

Yes it will be and it will be brilliant. My family is about 60/40 R to D. I've got a bottle of four roses small batch coming from a snob cousin thanks to Trump going all MAGA.

I'm sure some politics will be talked. But doubtful anything hateful will be said.

I don't know if we had any huge Trump supporters as much as we have anti-Hillary supporters in the family.

The election is over. Is your aunt just going to stop going anywhere for the next 8 years?

Absolutely. For the most part just insulting my wife's cousins who is now a Democrat because he married a liberal from California. He and his wife usually leave early because they can't make concise arguments and get frustrated with facts.

Hell no. We make it a point to never talk politics, Thanksgiving or not. What is the point? You have your mind set and they have theirs. You will not change your views and you won't change theirs.

Honestly, I can't wait to watch YouTube tomorrow. There are going to be tons of wonderful fights between SJW college student and the drunk uncle.
