Now this does not mean he's coming ...

But how fricking stupid does someone have to be to triumphantly post this thinking it is a categorical denial?

Hell, that's classic coach speak for when you're about to bolt.

What was said: " I am fully committed to FSU"

What he meant: " If LSU meets my demands I am sooooooo out of here!"

LatinTiger is the official bonekill of this board. Posting "premium" info from sites that don't hold any valuable info.

And NorthshoreTiger seems to always be the first to jump in these nega threads and say "welp, that's that! Time for the O-Zone!"

Fisher would finish his answer by saying he was happy and fully invested at FSU

Coach speak. If he's not open to the possibility he could just say something along the lines of:
"I am the head coach at FSU, I will be the head coach at FSU, I have no interest in talking to anybody else. I have a game to play and I'm excited about the opportunity of my damn strong football team."

Or maybe he's remaining vague on purpose to bump his salary and gain some control over the admin. We'll see

That was typical coach speak - unless he flat says I am not going to LSU, he's listening.

Why doesn't he just say he's not taking another job then?

$ & leverage....you do not show your hand until you have secured the maximum # of chips. Otherwise, Sexton will have a smaller Christmas this year........

He's not going to say anything other than that until his season is over. Anyone expecting otherwise is a damn fool

Honestly, I think Jimbo is going to be tough to pull off.

But you are starting to come across as though you have ulterior motives at this point. You're too overly persistent.

I think you're either a troll, an extreme Herman guy, an attention whore, or you're trying to avert attention elsewhere.

I'm not sure which, nor do I really care because this stuff is fun. But you are begining to give yourself away. Just sayin.

That's a terrible headline, bad enough it should get whacked.

How cute. My 4 year old daughter is still in that stage where she thinks that everyone is always telling the truth.

It would be very stupid for him to say anything otherwise, unless he wants to lose his team and until the deal with LSU is actually a done deal. Why would he distract his team and at the same time create a massive media storm by saying I'm currently in negotiations with LSU? That would be literally and figuratively stupid.

Coaches ALWAYs are committed to their current team until they sign a contract with the next place, which they then declare to be their "dream job."
