7 Million is a lot of money.. Herman shouldn't expect that considering he hasn't won a NC or anything like that. I'd say offer him 6 with major incentives based on winning and if he doesn't bite then move on to Jimbo.

It really doesn't matter much to me how much we pay our new coach as long as we get the one we think will be most successful.
Personally, I'd rather pay twice as much for something that I know will be quality versus paying half for a mediocre product.

I'd go 7 on Herman, Jimbo or Kelly. A little less for Gundy. Herman is a crap shoot, but the excitement is worth it.

With a few exceptions, pretty much all LSU fans are on board the Jimbo/Herman train.
Give one of them $7 million and let's get the train rolling again.
We can debate which one is better, and there are differing opinions certainly, but as long as LSU snags one of those two, things are golden, even if it is a $7mil price tag

Nope i wouldn't as long as a big buyout is attached.
And I know this can't happen but a big buyout if he is poached by another team, but a small buyout if he is fired. Again I KNOW that won't happen but it tis the Christmas season a fella can wish can't he!!!
