Why would Aranda stick around to serve under a cheerleader?

All these pro O people keep talking like Aranda staying is a shoe-in.

Aranda has proven to be an Xs & Os genius. He's got probably a top 2-3 D in the country and that's with players that don't fit his scheme and a million injuries.

O made common sense moves that the Rant has been screaming about for years. I give him credit for that, but Aranda should be beneath a guy whose primarily responsibilities are recruiting and not butting in to what the coordinators are doing?

Aranda leaves, then what? LSU is screwed. Aranda is the man for the job. No HC experience? So what? Dude is smart enough to find good assistants while leading the D.

well, lets see how Aranda does when all of this senior leadership and nfl early entrants leave......godchaux, beckwith, white, adams....didn't even include neal, bowers, Jefferson, Thomas. Let us see how great he is then.

You are naive and ignorant. You don't begin to understand 80% of the responsibilities of a head football coach, especially at a major university.

Really huh a million injuries? I have been really impressed with his tackling abilities. I have been even more impressed that he stopped Auburn from scoring 6 TD instead of 6 FG. But, wait, did Coach Aranda's defense possibly improve when the interim coach determined there was no need for the defense to scrimmage 80 plays every week?

I would imagine Aranda has aspirations of becoming a Head Coach. Part of building your resume is who you have worked under, as in who has influenced the way you will organize and run your program. That's why you see so many Saban assistants hired, not because they are supposed geniuses, but because they have worked in and understand the greatest "process" in CFB.

That (along with high salary) is why aranda chose to work under miles. Also for the chance to show his stuff against kiffin and other SEC offenses while having top teir talent.

I don't know that O does for him what a Jimbo/Herman proven head coach would do.

Without a large buyout I could see him joining Herman in Texas for that reason if we don't make a big hire. Just my opinion.

Why'd he sign on to coach under Miles?

Well let's see, it certainly wasn't Les' coaching acumen

thats what Ive been saying... dude aint staying on a staff in which he is smarter than the head coach.. aint happening.. only way to keep him is to go out and get Fisher or offensive guru.. Aranda has proven he can keep people out of the endzone..

idk about you guys, but if I was the superstar of a company and had to work for a boss that couldn't tie his shoelaces correctly I'd be looking for a job elsewhere.
