Wolf Blitzer is being criticized by many on Twitter for his refusal to accept the fact that Donald Trump had won the presidency while hosting CNN's election coverage.

One Twitter used noted that Blitzer was trying to 'desperately resuscitate the Clinton corpse' in response to the fact that he was calling states for Trump long after other networks and major media outlets.

CNN was also also the final network to report that Trump had won the race, waiting until 2:48am, just after he took the stage to make his victory speech in New York.

Just minutes prior, Blitzer was visibly stunned when co-host Dana Bash informed him that Clinton had conceded to Trump in a phone call.

'If Hillary Clinton has conceded, that is dramatic,' said Blitzer, live on air.

'That is a dramatic development, Dana, and to hear the words president elect, we haven’t yet projected that - but you’re saying Clinton made a formal call to Donald Trump to concede?'

Bash then again confirmed that Clinton had conceded, but still CNN did not call the election for Trump.
This despite the fact that Trump had over 270 electoral college votes at that time as well according to all other outlets - except CNN.

CALLING THE ELECTION
The Daily Mail: 1:56am
Associated Press: 2:31am
Fox News: 2:40am
The New York Times: 2:41am
CLINTON CONCEDES: 2:43 am
Reuters: 2:43am

The Washington Post: 2:44am
NBC News: 2:44am
ABC News: 2:45am
CBS News: 2:45am

CNN: 2:48am

Does someone have the video of Wolf begging John King to find votes for HRC? Also: CNN Wolf refusing to call Wisconsin for Trump. They were forced to call it for Trump when HRC conceded. They were shocked she conceded; they obviously thought Podestaaaaa spoke because they were going to count votes until HRC won.

I was switching between CNN and MSNBC for the entertainment.

The best way I can describe it is as if CNN was on a constant simmering melt whereas MSNBC was more professional with the occasional boiling over melt then back to mixed professionalism.

Wolf lost it the whole night.

It was glorious to watch Blitzer continue to ask about Hillary's path and then to watch King look at the blue counties with 90%+ reporting and shaking his head saying he didn't know where the votes were going to come from.

I think CNN had the best technology.

King is a wizard on that board too.

I watched CNN most of the night, and the melt was epic. Blitzer was in maximum denial and may not yet understand what happened.

I was seriously amazed at the knowledge King had about the tendencies of certain counties/precincts. Not just the demographics but things like whether or not that county tends to be slow at reporting

FOX was the worst in the number crunching department. Only showed percentages without any raw numbers to go with them. CNN is the best station for the numbers guys.

Also: can't forget Van Jones melt...

I was wondering wtf he meant when he was about crying saying, what will I tell my daughter?

They were all saying this, as if slavery was going to be enforced simutaneously with a woman POTUS never happening. Like her being female was the only thing that mattered; even if she was not qualified to hold a security clearance.

They spun their lies so much and gave HRC FLORIDA, NC ALASKA, PA, MICHIGAN, that they actually believed it... Or were they so used to the power that media carries always working?

King was actually pleasant to watch - he was realistic and professional; it was like he was "the adult in the room" while the rest of the CNN team was too stunned to even think straight

Thank you for posting this OP. I love it. CNN has lost all credibility. Wolf is supposedly CNN's flag ship "journalist".

They beat Wisconsin and Michigan to death. I think Blitzer was interested in even single votes.

Fox should trade Megyn for King.

True. At one point Brett was going to the board on Fox News. Megyn Kelly going to the decision desk saying THE M word to be called for Trump...and they couldn't call it yet. Fox Business did not have a good numbers guy map either but Lou and Trish with Ben Carson were a good watch. Cavuto was fair and balanced.

John Black knew his stuff but Wolf was melting.

Good idea. It was amazing watching Black explain that that one Florida county was always the bellwether. But it wasn't this time. Because Trump got the Cuban voters and independents.

I got a kick out of Fox Business poking fun at Carson when he smiled and Cavuto came down on him telling him to calm down.
