Just looked on ebay, some of those stompers, still on card, are going for 200.00.

I'm surprised that with the wars and occupations we didn't see a resurgence in the military micro machines. Remember how bad arse those were? They had some legit WW2 micro machines too.

Anyone else have the die cast Megaforce sets?

You can find plenty of hot wheels and match box cars. My guess is parents today are scared they are too small and kids will swallow them.

They were banned after Kevin McCallister left them out on the floor and Aunt Lara almost broke her neck

Haha I had all three of those bases and the aircraft carrier.

Also my grandparents had these big wooden blocks that I would turn into a base as well. The blue/black camo color scheme was the best.

Stompers were awesome. I snuck one in to first grade one time, kid put it on his head, his hair got caught up in the wheels. Teacher had to break out the scissors and cut it off his head.

My elementary school would have us bring in our new Christmas toys for show and tell (to separate the rich kids from the rest of us) and the first thing we did was wheels in hair. No idea why that was such an automatic impulse.

the toys out there suck compared to when I was a kid.

I never realized until I had a son, but toys really are shite nowadays.

I blame you Walt Disney!
