Was at a packed bar tonight, game was not on and nobody cared. New Orleans does not give a frick about this sorry organization. Cubs are more popular than this team. I bet less than 5 percent of people in this city know who Alvin Gentry is.

When they put a good product on the court people will pay attention and care. But they are wasting a budding superstar, just like the saints are wasting a future hall of fame quarterback .

When they win, people care. They've been irrelevant so long now you are right. Not the people's fault. The 07-08 Hornets had signs on business buildings and businesses using the entrance billboards with stuff like Geaux Hornets streaming across them or Beat The Spurs. Again, one playoff series win with prime AD and CP3. It is emotionally taxing to be invested in this team. Just look at this board. Patience is non existent and rightfully so. Wasting generational talents is garbage.

I agree that many people don't care about the Pels, but an elimination game of the world series that could be a historic moment in sports and the Pels were playing their 3rd or 4th game of the NBA season, which most Americans don't watch until the playoffs

only in a big market will people remotely care when a team is bad. When a team is good, fans will rally behind a team. It's just the way of the world

Im a Pels fan and I didnt watch the game last night either. No way am I missing a World Series game over any NBA game.

Aside from people who's favorite sport is basketball, most local sports fans are going to watch Game 6 of the World Series over a regular season NBA game.

New Orleans sports fans will really get into the Pels once the Saints are done. Thats around when I start watching/caring about them each year.

Unfortunately, New Orleans is a one sport town. Even if the Pels ran off a few championships, do you believe they would ever compete with the saints? This isn't a great market for basketball.

I care but it just seems like a hopeless cause.
