I'm doing it now. It's really great. I love the food I get to eat and I feel so much better than eating junk.
Bacon
Eggs
Pork chops

How do different grains like quinoa and cous cous fit in this? I'm about to have surgery that's gonna put me outta commission for a bit. I'm borderline fat for me already (6'0" 207). Don't need to balloon into the 220s.

Sounds like a good game plan. Once you cut out the sugar and processed crap, your body will stop craving it. I live a relatively Paleo lifestyle - it's been life changing. Be sure to cook things you enjoy eating, and don't be afraid to try some new ideas. Good luck!

I started it, don't know how much weight I have lost, but it's pretty damn noticeable. Everyone comments on it. I had to punch a new hole in my belt or my pants just fall rt off.
I used to work out a bunch and eat whatever I want, now I barely work out and diet and have lost more weight in less time.
Just got to cut out carbs. Was easy to pin point for me where all my carbs were coming from. Sodas, beer and cereal. Don't touch any of that now and in about three months I have no beer gut anymore and have moved 3 notches over on my belt.

Looked up quinoa nutrition.. said one cup net carb amount is 35g. That would be too much for me to contend with. Try the nut route..I also found some Greek yogurt that comes out to less than 15g per cup. The Kirkland brand protein bars at Costco are a box of 20 for $18. They only have cookie dough/ chocolate brownie but are about 7g net carbs per bar. Whatever the food take the total carbs less the dietary fiber carbs to get net.

Too much red meat isn't good

What's disagreeable about that menu? Sounds like you have a problem with real food, fatty.

Try vegetarian for a while, easiest diet ive ever tried. Mainly because you can't ruin your entire day or week with a couple of bites. And you will stay full with no portion limits.

As opposed to what?

Starting back tomorrow too.
Bacon instead of avocado in am. Ear avocado later in day.
And you need a lot more fat throughout the day than what you have posted.

What's the verdict on coffee consumption? I pretty much can't make it through the day without 3+ cups.

Not an issue ss long as it's black. You can add heavy cream, but the carbs add up quick.

can first hand attest to reducing hidden sugars and high calorie low nutrient processed grains for weight loss. replace these with all the healthy fats and non starch veggies you want. Problems with the diet you listed - don't ever throw away egg yokes, that is the best part, just get the pastured eggs, not raised in a dark factory Tyson building. And lose the gd obsession with chicken breasts, eat the whole fricken chicken, in fact dark meat may be more nutritious, just don't eat chicken raised in a factory with Tyson on the side of the building where they sweep the dead ones out daily. Also wrong, 'lean' meat, don't be proud of this, nothing wrong with fatty meat if its healthy animal. Also wrong, stop counting calories, it is proven now its not how many but where they come from, it turns out fat calories do not get stored as fat. Fat helps your body burn fat, sugar and carbs get stored as fat not fat. Fat does not trigger insulin. Fat also triggers leptin which is the hormone that says you are full. Just make sure the fats are healthy fats not trans fat and not cheap seed oils like soybean, canola, and corn. What I mean by hidden sugar is the one 'they' slip into processed foods to make them taste better because they removed the fat. Sugar naturally occurring in whole foods is ok. Another trick, eat organic as much as possible, this will ensure that your exposure to gmo's is minimal which contain 'glyphosate' which years from now will go down in history as a nutritional holocaust on the American people. thanks and have a nice day.
