No "s" on parade ground. This irks me

Literally every student I've ever met in 5 years at LSU says Parade GroundS. You're gonna have to get over it.

I'm still shocked LSU hasn't set out a press release yet announcing the locations with parking and tailgating restrictions

My assumption is they are working with Salutes, ESPN, and LSU Facilities to figure out if they can do it somewhere else.

Is gameday now a necessary evil? People love to trash it and their network (ESPN), but seem to embrace it when it's in town.

LSU and ESPN has already mentioned Parade Ground as the location on pictures with Facebook and Twitter as of Sunday morning. They specifically mentioned the Heisman house at the parade ground as well. You would think Gameday would have to clear the location with the university before announcing.

You're damn right it won't change. It's forever been the Parade Ground, so stop trying to add an 's' to it.

They will probably split the parade ground in half.

Imo they should have game day on the old front 9 by walk ons.

Why would they have a memorial service and College Gameday within 50 yards of each other

Im sure that ESPN/ Gameday and LSU/ Salutes have talked this through before posting multiple advertisements with the Parade Ground listed as the location.

Who knows, maybe Rinaldi will be doing his segment on Salutes this week and it gets incorporated into the show...

By "LSU" you mean the social media rep retweeting and resharing on Twitter/Facebook?

My understanding of how gameday's selection process works is that they communicate with the university a few weeks out that the game is on their radar. The university then lets ESPN know if they are able to host or not, location is set by the university.

So it's quite conceivable that the Gameday producer/graphic designer just rolled with the Parade Ground graphic under the assumption that's where it would be.

I could also see them working to move Salutes to start at Noon, or move it to Friday or the UF game if ESPN for some reason isn't willing to budge on the location.

LSU Salutes to Friday or UF game would be a God-send. We're actually having to pay security to watch our stuff on Friday night because there is no-entry on Tower Drive on Saturday morning.

Wrong. Parking is reserved along Tower Drive for LSU Salutes. Flyers were put on windshields last game. Tow trucks make a killing here every year. We warn people on Friday, they think we're talking BS, and then there vehicle is gone come Saturday morning. Strictly enforced.

3:30 PM and still nothing official on LSUsports.net about where Gameday is setting up. Something has to be in the works to set up somewhere else, other than Parade Ground(s).
